What round did they make it?
What happened to Graham and Witt. Were they physically up to it???

Neither has played first grade this year.....

Graham hasnt played first grade this season due to serious ankle injury! If Graham was fit do you really think that McKinnon would be playing fullback?
Witt on the other hand is also recovering from injury and it is only a matter of time before he returns.

I think that Mateo will be more physically up to first grade then Graham and Witt. Kiwi kids mature physically fast than Aussie kids. Thats why we are seeing guys kids like Karmichael Hunt and Sonny bill Williams being so physically able for first grade at such a young age.

Exactly the point I was MAKING. They were both HURT in 2003 because they weren't PHYSICALLY up to it. Big difference in Jersey Flegg and NRL. Don'' sacrifice them because they are still kids PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY not up to it. Thanks for your support in my argument.

I reckon it's good to give the kids ago against the so-called weaker opponents.

Coz of all the injuries, blood him to give him a taste.

If he's good enough, he should be given a go.

Isn't his name a Sexual Act or sthing.

It certainly is a mouthful

Big difference between Schoolboy and NRL... They ARE NOT Physically or Mentally up to it. Where is Benji Marshall?

OK then??

Where is Adam McDougall and David Vaealiki??

Hardly juniors.
That argument has more flaws then the Empire State Building.

So your argument is that because a player was injured then they weren't physically up to it? So someone like Johns or Vaealiki who have played for a year or two in the NRL aren't up to it? Your argument has more holes than Souths defence.....

I seem to remember that Peter Sterling and Geoff Toovey were both younger and smaller than Graham and Witt when they made their debut.......

How long did it take them to suffer the seriuos injury?????
They are hardened professionals who have had many years at the top. Not rookies who have their hearts broken just after a few games......Goose

Based on your argument they couldn't have been hardened players if they were injured then could they. If they were injured based on what you have been saying than they weren't up to the physical side of the game? It just goes to show that seasoned or not injuries that cut their seasons off before they start do happen.

You need to tape some holes of those holes up Pete

By "they" I mean Adam abd Dave not the Parra kids. How Graham and Witt bounce back from those SHATTERING injuries will determine if they are MENTALLY up to the NRL standard.
If Witt is getting the shits by being in reserve grade he is not MENTALLY up to first grade at this stage. He has to BIDE his time. He is not exactly setting the world on fire in PL.
Whose place does he take? Dykes..Sorry, Wagon, a tackling machine, sorry.

Injuries can happen to any player, next you will be telling me that Cannings broke his arm because of his inexperiance in the NRL. The fact to the matter is that a select few kids fly threw the graders to play first grade. Mateo is already in first division and see that Smith likes to use 2 locks in his starting line up that gives Mateo a even greater chance of cracking first grade this season.

Onya Murray.

You really are a brick wall made of blue and gold clay. Obviously, there is no openness in your opinions and you don't care too much for others.
If we don't agree with you, so be it.
If we did - you'd probably work Mrs Palmer and Vaseline.

I'd suggest you take a big breath..............and then have a nice long sleep.

Do any of you realise that Sonny-Bill played 2 years of premier league before made his debut against us??

sorry mate, i wouldn't usually contradict you, but i was watching Sonny Bill in SG at the same time i was watching Michael Witt and Ash Graham... he had one year... tops

YOU go to SG Ball games????? Is this a weekly thing or just for like the Grand Final or something?

why is that so hard to believe?
last year and the year before Nikki and I went to just about every HMAtthews, SG BAll, Flegg and DIvvy game there was. I saw the GFinal where Kane Cleal got his jaw broken, Mick and Hinchliffe starred and Hinchy was the captain!! I Live for this team. I haven't seen SG and HM this year as having left school, im a workin girl now, but i haven't missed a flegg game. thats why i get so attached to junior talent. sometime i watch them more then first grade![/b]

Oh ok, well I think that is good that you get to go and watch the junior rep sides. I too have seen a fair bit of junior rep sides in the past down here in Canberra, but that has been more of neccesity and circumstances than to actually support the teams (which i am not...a Raiders fan!)
