Been playing Career Mode with Arsenal nearly all day and having a lot of fun with the game.

Ended up releasing Arshavin, Rosicky and Chamakah early on in the season and then signed Fellaini and Welliton who are absolute beasts in the game.

The first touch basically eliminates pace dominating the game, and it has put more emphasis on features like ball control. I also like being able to jostle off the ball. Glad they've also made keeping stats mean something (now they fumble the ball, rather than catching/blocking everything perfectly). Also liking the skills/drills in the game. Will explore the game a little more before starting a career mode (which I hear is really good in this game).

Totally agree. It's finally possible to play possession football instead of the constant 1-2 passing and pace abusing down the wings that was in previous Fifa games.

I noticed yesterday I was signed out of EASFC and couldn't sign in so all the jerseys I bought were unavailable. Keep that in mind if you have UT boosts and stuff.

I tried it a bit this week but just can't get the hang of it (Fifa 12)... It just seems way too inconvenient and unnatural to have to aim perfectly with the joystick always and have perfect power... Played really sloppy.. Does it really become better as you get used to it??

You're probably better off just having through balls set to manual and mix and match. I spent about an hour one year in training with no opposition to get used to it. It's worth it for me but everyone is different I just hate balls to feet and passing to the wrong player that assisted brings.

I'm finding it is a lot easier in 13 though. I played a few games of 12 just before playing 13 and mid match in 13 I paused to see if my settings had not properly transferred over.

If you're mostly playing FUT then it's probably an unnecessary disadvantage until you get used to it.

I didn't mean assisted controls as a diss either just those fifa try hards that ping pong the ball upfield with Madrid and have Ronaldo blast it from outside the box then act like they're top stuff annoy me.

The simulating in this game is crazy slow, takes about 10 minutes just to sim a month in manager mode.

Finding an online opponent is slow as f**k too. Takes ages to download the online squads.

I am slowly starting to get the hang of FUT after ignoring it last year. Got a decent side so far but want to do an offline season and it wants me to have a 2 star rating

I've been playing online mostly for coins. Also had a few free packs and ended up getting Toure, Bastos and a decent keeper. It's always hard at the start, but I've been lucky.

The market is crazy though. One minute tevez is at 120k then I see him swell for 40k!

Also have sold some real duds recently for approx 4x the purchase amount. Currently sitting on 10k

I jsut sold santon for 1.7k, I bought him for 350. I just flood the market with contracts and set the buy it now at 300, usually sell them quickly.

Nasri copped a hiding when I tried it. Surprised Terry didn't cop it at QPR or Suraez at Old Trafford.

Love the game but the hard freeze bug in seasons at the team select screen is a killer. I dont want to have to fully restore my ps3 every few games, Twice in ten games, not good. Getting scared to play it online now. I'm on ps3 by the way. Might go back to FIFA 12 till this is sorted, at least in 12 it only happened every 30 or so games lol.

Anyone else playing ultimate team, it's alot smoother than last years version. Nearly all games I've had are lag free.. Or it could be the upgraded modem and using Xbox live compared to psn

Similar problem in Madden also.

The game will hard freeze when you turn it off. The only solution is to log out of PSN and that will kick you from the EA server. Then you are free to quit the game.

If your issue is happening in game, I cant really give you a workaround, but I would suggest that it is the EA servers that are causing it.

I read somewhere that you dont need to restore, just cancel the restore option...... I havent done that though.
