De Silva was amazing, even at 16 he was technically a cut above. Great prospect. We should have a great chance at progressing past the groups with this team. Will probably come down to the Turkey match.

Sounds like Daniel Da Silva had a great game. Reading peoples opinion of him it's a shame he's not a few years older because he sounds like he could have been the young striker the Socceroos could use to compliment Oar, Rogic and Kruse for the future. If he developed of course.

Turkey are the host nation so that will be extra difficult.

He is more of a number 10 than a striker really

Taggart did well for the most part, and already has a few senior caps. If he starts scoring consistently in the A-League I could see him becoming a good young striker.

I can't wait for the Australia vs El Salvador game, 1st time they're playing at any level, would be good to see my 2 countries up against each other.

I stayed up for both games this morning & the Aussies were good, disappointed with el Salvador's performance but was kinda expected, they played scared.

Unless El Salvador are an emerging super power, I'll be disappointed if we don't beat them.

Was a very good performance. 6 years after the great leap forward in the methodology and philosophy of the FFA, we're starting to finally see its impact at the youth level.

Yeah from what I saw Australia should win, they played really goo against Colombia, and El Salvador showed signs but will finish last in the group. Not gonna talk them up as a emerging powerhouse but his el salvadorian generation has potential to be better than the golden generation of El Salvador from the 70s & 80s, which isn't saying much if any one knows what the all time biggest loss at a World Cup is lol.

As pleased as I was with the Columbia result, equally disappointed here. No disrespect but we should not be losing games at any level to El Salvador.

Went from technical passing and stout defending to looking very hacky and giving away possession very very easily. I also think the tactics and management were poor from Okon. Oh well that's hopes of advancing dashed.

No disrespect taken, Australia is capable of better, but I always knew this would be the more likely result. Like I said before this salvadorian team has potential. In the end it proves at the end of the day it's 11 vs 11 with one round ball.
