Calling all those that doubted whether fifita could step up to first grade this year..

Just goes to show how much sh*t you talk. You know who you are...

I reckon he's a plodder. Coming on to run once at a side who'd gone home 30 mins before after playing themselves to exhuastion does not change my opinion at all.

He has to prove himself in situations where the chips are down in defence and show a real commitment to the process of training and preparation and fitness before he will actually make the step up.

We have already had one fool in Daine Laurie who had enourmous potential but couldn't be arsed working to hone it. Andrew has to prove himself first

I take your point that it's still early... but you're losing sight of the bigger picture

It's just the fact that no one wanted to give him a run until after "2 years playing with men in state cup"

A bunch of narrow minded fools. Westie actions speak louder - you've got nothing

I still think he is a full season in State Cup with a smattering of NRL appearances before he earns or deserves a spot in our full strength squad

Coming off the bench, playing 20 minutes a game is just right at this stage. Gradually playing more and more minutes. Still raw. Is aggressive. I liked the way he scored his try by changing angles. Not just a dumb front rower.

As mentioned before - Laurie had more talent in his little toe than this bloke. They've both got the same amount of bollocks when it comes to application. I've barely watched him, I'm mostly just going off the talk coming out of every one except Sheens - but everything I've seen him do confirms this. Footballers are the product of their commitment. At the moment, this chap has none... he might change but it's unlikely. There's never been a long term, quality footballer who didn't want to be there.

Owen Craigie could have been the best, he ended up not much better than the worst. You think a bloke with similar application whose talent isn't mentionable with Cragie will get there?

I doubt Sheens would give him a game if he wasnt showing commitment westie. Ive seen TC games where the guy hasnt stopped, he just kept going when the others were spent. Once he gets up to NRL speed the guy will show some of the regulars how its done. I really think he is one guy that is going to make a future for himself in the top grade.

f**k off McFly.

One game means nothing.

When he plays a full first grade season with no injuries come back and gloat. Not now.

Commitment would mean he hadn't already received official warnings for missing training without excuse. This is not the case

id like to see what he learns from the players he comes up against. If moimoi tears him a new one this week, does watch the video back to see not only what he did wrong, but what moimoi and the parra pack did right

Yes because injuries are indicative of how skillful a player is.

Geez that Andrew Johns bloke was bloody hopeless with those dodgy knees and that neck of his.

Haha. Andrew Fifita used to be my assistant coach for U18s. He also coached my brothers U13s side. Not a good football brain. Basically he was a guy who helped us at the start but then after we lost a few games he lost interest, but then came back all of a sudden when we made the Grand Final. He is also a lot bigger now than he was a few years ago.

Sounds exactly like the talk I've heard. He's a big boy, but there's plenty of bigger boys out there who aren't footballers either.

Thought he did alright against the Eels. That penalty in the 72nd minute or whenever it was had me a little nervous though...

He is obviously a top prospect and had a great debut- If sheens keeps him in the side he will get better and better

A plodder- the guy has genuine speed for his size...FFS a plodder ??? you've lost the plot son..
