He is obviously a top prospect and had a great debut- If sheens keeps him in the side he will get better and better

A plodder- the guy has genuine speed for his size...FFS a plodder ??? you've lost the plot son..

Sorry, would it make a difference if I said he has a penchant for laziness?

He is very very raw, was all over the place in defense last night & was lucky not to get penalised more for flops, interference in the play the ball & holding down.

He was ultra keen to get out there against Parra. He sprinted on the field when he got the call up from the bench. Couldn't wait to get stuck in. My kind of player.

Remember, this is the kid who put a shot on Benji in the off season at training to which the Massiah did not like causing abit of a "broo ha ha" between the 2. I really like his attitude.

I personally felt he was completely sh*thouse when on the field.

He looks to be clearly not up to NRL Standard.

I reckon he's a plodder. Coming on to run once at a side who'd gone home 30 mins before after playing themselves to exhuastion does not change my opinion at all.

Sheens dictates what minutes he plays in other words he can only play the minutes he has been set for. Its not like he saying to Sheens I dont want to start the game if you get my drift.

He will be developed slowly just like KG was and with similar long term results. Plodder I dint think so

Needs to take lessons from Galloway at running hard at the line. For a guy his size he should accelerate hard and try to dent it. He doesn't do that yet.

I just wouldn't put too much expectation on him yet. We did that with a forward before and poor work ethic saw him to be a bit of a fizzer

Oh FFS, now you're comparing him to Galloway? This is the bloke who was always going to be a rep player from the minute he made first grade as a teenager.

Cant see he taking lessons can be precieved as a comparision. The only comparision you can draw between them so far is the fact they play for the same side.

I too would like to see him learn from galloway. He needs senior players around him at the moment to guide him. It will be interesting to see what he ends up like come the end of this season or early next

Much like a few others on here I suppose, I long for the days of Corey Payne's 5 runs for 17 metres, zero tackle breaks and 3 penalties conceded per game. Forget this Fifita bloke, who runs for as many metres as Gibbs (in half the time), breaks tackles, off-loads and so far hasn't done anything glaringly bad, in only two first grade games, and let's petition Sheens to buy out Payne's contract at the Dogs so we can pay him $270k per again.

f**k some of you blokes are incredible. For a guy that's 20, played all of 2 first grade games and has hardly done a thing wrong, you're ready to piss him off presumably so we can get some other journeyman niff-nuff second-rower to play at prop. It's absolutely f**king incredible.

I don't know what his attitude is like at training, frankly I don't care. The guy has not looked out of place in first grade and hopefully he will keep developing. Like pretty much 90% of young players, or men for that matter, he probably has some maturity issues. I'm not prepared to write the guy off yet because of that. It's the 27 year olds with maturity issues (read: Daine Laurie) you have to be wary of.

Well said..... A point to remember, Steve Roache was probly the tigers slackest trainer , not trying to compare the 2 but just making the point that on and offfield doesnt allways mean everything. I did think he looked a little lost out there at times but i put it down to experience and also being a bit over keen and trying to hard to impress.

Tigerhawk. Fifita is certainly worth pursuing with as a talent but I just don't think he is worth blowing the wad that some people seem to just yet.

He is a massive human being and just does not have acceleration to make use of it as yet.

Roach may have been lazy in training but he put everything in whilst on the field in a non professional game with 5m separation of teams. Different game completely.

Andrew needs to work harder on his fitness than anyone at the club because he is already getting found out by smarter dummy half runners and his tackling technique isn't there yet.

Definatley worth keeping in the top tier of contracts. He will benefit from more than 15 minutes a game though so I do not think it would hurt to alternate him through State Cup every once in a while.

People are carrying on about Andrew and ignoring the little things the same way they did with Daine. I agree it can be fixed but it needs to be done now, not later

Great Daine and Fafita are 2 different players. 2 different characters. Different ages. Fafita's old man played the game, so I reckon he will have more discipline instilled in him having a mentor like John.

I agree completely - I'm not now, nor have ever, proclaimed him to be an absolute can't miss prospect. He has weaknesses. Much like a similarly sized Galloway at his age had weaknesses. Much like most 20 year old players have weaknesses. Bottom line for me is, yes he has to keep improving, but I've seen enough to remain convinced that he has a future, and should remain in the top grade until his attitude drops off.

Gibbs didn't exactly come into grade and start dominating. It's taken 6 years (and counting) to get to where he is. Galloway was blooded slowly. Moimoi took 4 or so years to find his feet in the top grade. I don't expect Fifita to suddenly become an NRL starting quality prop, it will take time. But for some to discount him already is just ludicrous, especially on the premise of "poor attitude" or "laziness".

I wouldn't run him against sides with great line speed at hooker like the Melbournes and the Titans personally as he would really get found out at this stage IMO and still think it would be a positive to drop him to State Cup and play him for 60 - 80 minutes just to keep his fitness up

Wow !!

What a game by the younster. Absolutely killed it. What a transition he is making from NYC. Love watching him play. Agressive and takes no sheet. We finally got some balls up front. He was alot more mobile than I thought. Maybe it was because (while defending) he wasn't chasing the ball all over the park like he did in previous games. He just stood his ground and looked after his area in defence instead of going chasing the guy with ball as he did in previous games.

Interesting to see Bryce Gibbs really stepping it up as well, especially from kick returns, running straight and hard. Perhaps there's some healthy competition happening for the front row. Finally !!!
