Knights have won their last two easily.
Roosters were running 6th and Knights beat them 34-4, and quite frankly that scoreline flattered the Roosters - 50-0 would have looked about right.
All the players brought in from other clubs have been sacked and replaced by kids from the local comp, and the Knights are a much better side for it.

they'll have a fair test this friday evening. who are their best, in your opinion?

they will certainly not make the 8. they would need a run like the broncs last season after a slow start. they do not have the talent of broncs '09, IMO

They are 4 points out of the 8 and not even half way through the season.

Our high profile recruitment guy did his usual and boght a bunch of nuffies from Sydney like Neenan Simpson, Aloi Taufaoo, Adrian Davis and a few others - but they have all been dropped and replaced by locals.
Kids who played in the Newcastle comp last year are the guys behind the improved form - Karl Means, Herman, Will Smith, Chris Knight, Harmony Hunt - all guys who played against seniors in the Newcastle comp last year.
Junior NSW and Aus players from previous years like Pete Mata'utia, Jake Finn, Ethan Cook and Kiwi reps Ailoami and Tetevano are the core of the side, but the local comp guys are improving every week, and are twice as tough as guys who have only played juniors.

Same has happened with us. Most of the all conquering SG Ball team are nowhere to be seen or let go.

Gutsy win by the Knights.
With a bye next week they will jump into the 8, and on form they can keep there from now on.

The Bulldogs beat the Tiger's today by 6 (Scoring in the 80th minute to win:D)... At one stage the Dogs were down by 14 or so! Massive turn around by the Doggies. After 7 rounds we had 1 point, now we've won 5 in a row.

I think the warriors will win today and the other game should be a ripper
Warriors were flogged.
Never in the game.
Likiliki celebrated being signed by the Knights by having his pants pulled down by a 17 year old Chanel Mata'utia.

Dean Pay is a joke of a coach. A pebble would have more ideas then he has.

Roosters are in the process of having a very good win in canberra. They led early and by halftime were up 12-0 but possession stats were against them. Canberra continued to have more ball early in the 2nd half but the Roosters defence has held solid with very few missed tackles. now are well on top with 3 more trys scored.
