Final top 8?

Predictions for final top 8?

Using the Ladder predictor and bias, I managed to produce this:

1- Canterbury
2- Melbourne
3- Souths
4- Manly
5- North Queensland
6- Cronulla
7- Brisbane
8- Canberra

As I mentioned, some bias probably and because we are the Raiders what I say here won't be the final result. They like to disappoint and lose games they are expected to win. However, if we play like I know we can play, this is possible. Whether we do, is a toss of a coin. To finish sixth we would need to beat all of the Roosters, Bulldogs (both at home) and the Warriors away. Beating the Bulldogs is optimistic but not impossible IMO. I have assumed we would lose that, and thus 2/3 with some favourable F/A will get us into eight spot just above the Tigers.

I've got:

1. Bulldogs
2. Storm
3. Rabbitohs
4. Sea Eagles
5. Cowboys
6. Wests Tigers
7. Broncos
8. Raiders

Raiders sneaking in by one point infront of the Sharks.

But, this is the NRL, so who knows. I mean, if Brisbane and Wests win all their remaining games, and say, Souths and NQ lose all theirs, it makes things very interesting.

I said after Cronulla got pumped by the raiders, that they can make the finals as they have a soft as shit run home while everybody was sucking on the titans dick, i was laughed at then, but they still can do it.
It will all come down to what whether or not Brisbane show up in petros final game as tigers would need to have an epic choke job to not beat the roosters in round 25.

I did one based solely on 2 point wins, with the highest placed teams getting the win. I got the following:

Canterbury
Melbourne
Rabbitohs
Cowboys
Sea Eagles
Broncos
Wests
Raiders

No team called the Tigers deserves to play finals football.

And if every side repeats their result that they did when they last played their opponent it looks as follows:

Canterbury
Melbourne
Rabbitohs
Cowboys
Sea Eagles
Sharks
Wests
Broncos

So, unless there are drastic form changes it theoretically should be (without any biases) a battle between Canberra and Cronulla for the final position.

The chooks are a bogey team for us...something bad always happens to us when we play them, or we just plain stuff up. Cast your mnd back to 2010. I'd rather play the sharks or canberra, we seem to be their bogey team.

I ended up with

1. Bulldogs
2. Melbourne
3. Manly
4. Souths
5. Cowboys
6. Tigers
7. Sharks
8. Broncos (qualifying comfortably on f/a over the Raiders)

Maybe a little bit of wishful thinking with a couple of last round scores, but that would be a great first round of the finals

Melbourne vs Manly
Bulldogs vs Souths
Tigers vs Sharks
Broncos vs Cowboys

unfortunately this is true. Roosters are what Canberra is to the Dragons to the Tigs. It's ridiculous

That would be SOOOOO easy to market.

yet the NRL would probably still make a complete hash of it. The crowds for the weekend could potentially topple 125k (50k for Dogs/Souths, 25k in Melbourne, 20k in Townsville, 30k for Tigers/Sharks), eclipsing the week 1 record we set last year (that obliterated the previous record).

Warriors will show up and smash the Raiders in the last round then be talked about as premiership contenders again next year by the NZ media

How did the Cows overtake Manly?

Seriously this is why we need a Top 6, rather than a Top 8.

After the spankings the Raiders have copped this year they should not be in finals contention.
