OK, we have 4 massive games coming up, in the context of it all each game is as important as a finals game. I know it might be a bit premature, but I can't see us losing the 2 home games we are yet to play. I'm also confident we can jag one of the 2 games between the Tigers and Dragans. I have us finishing in 6th position with HUGE momentum going into the finals series. I think we'll be doing more than just making up numbers. Am I dreaming?

if we win the next 3, we will beat the Dragons.

Dragons will rest most of their players against us... last game before the finals.

bad news is that the Tigers are as good as we are. So if they keep winning I can't see us making it.

If we lose to the Warriors we have problems, but DA will need to work hard to keep the team focussed for the match again this week, and ignoring the finals hype.

The Tigers are in the same boat as us, and that will be a cracking Friday night game with each team's seasons on the line.

The Panthers game... could go either way I think, especially if we manage to get through the Warriors and Tigers, the Penrith game will be the biggest risk of losing our focus.

And the Dragons won't rest anyone against us - why would they risk their momentum?

I'm still not convinced it' sin our hands, we can win all four games and still not make it unless some of the various teams above us and in the 8 slide downwards in the next four games.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but we need to jump 3 places to make the cut.

Looking at next week, we'd need 3 teams from the 5th-10th group to lose.

My picks are:

Cowboys v Dogs
Knights v Storm
Souths v Titans

The others are:
Tigers v Sharks
Manly v Roosters
Panthers v Broncos

If next week goes purely to form, we'll be sitting in 8th unless the margins of Souths' loss and our win exceed a combined total of 64, which would leave us in 7th.

If we win all our games, we will pretty much finish 5th or 6th.

Still a long way to go, but the eels are really starting to look the goods.

The defense has been outstanding, and over the past 6 or so weeks, are probably the no.1 defenders at the moment.

Dude, if we win all of our remaining 4 games it is impossible for us not to finish 5th. Check out the calculator..

Seriously? I'll have to check it out.

What if the 11 teams above us - or just the lower 7 teams within our reach - win all four of theirs as well?

One week at a time... it's been a good month, but we need another whole month to match to stand any chance.

Without looking at the draw don't forget other sides already in the top 8 are also playing sides above them or on the same points.

OK, I've had a look.

Four wins gets us in... but lose the Wests game and we're really screwed.

Obviously that means lose the Warriors game, the Panthers game, or the Dragons game and we're also screwed as far as the top 8 goes.

DA must keep them focussed one game at a time.

I dont know, I thought we were pretty ragged on the fringes today especially in the beigining of the second half. The knights didnt have the confidence/ firepower to finish it off, the good teams would have.
The achellies heel against the eels has and always will be playing ad lib, never die with the ball, football.

Most sides aren't good at defending ad lib footy but not many sides are good at playing ad lib footy.
