Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhf**k!
I was trying to tell you all week Itsa this kinda thing could happen!

Now I worry how the boys can back up from that especially if it’s against Shoncos who have the wood on us too.

Hey death riders. Ease up. The rest of us have a competition to win!!!
Proud of the effort by the boys.

It was like a 12 round heavy weight slugfest with the lead constantly changing.

Then just as we thought we had the game, they found a way to win it (as they so often do).

Biggest disappointment for me was Sammy boi, he had a shocker.

GI and Reynolds playing on after taking the shots they did showed great courage.

Biggest worry for me is how much that took out of us?

I thought at the beginning of the season that Gagai should be fullback and AJ on the wing..
Problem now is if those changes are made we just don't have NRL quality replacements, someone suggested Tracey to cover Reyno. The kid has zero NRL experience???

Yeah, too late for those type of changes now.

Just on Tracey, at halftime in last nights game I was thinking he would be our halfback for next weeks match.

Tracey looks the goods but we are so thin with those injuries you mention.
eg? Hawkins as replacement half back?

To be honest fellas there would not of been to many teams get as close as we did last night.
Instead of worrying about Bulldog dicks the NRL and it’s many clowns should address why the f**king drizzle were allowed a 4 metre rule and to lay all over us in the play the ball.
But we will prevail, whoever we play in the coming weeks we can beat and I’m just hoping we get another crack at those purple poodles come GF day and raise that trophy in front of their f**king sad faces!
I’m a grumpy old itsa for the rest of the week now fellas and I hope our boys are as grumpy and want revenge as much as I do.
LOVE MY RABBITOHS!!!!!!!!

It looks like all our players will be good to go next week but if one of our halves is injured not having Doueihi there for cover will hurt us.

Before we go crucifying AJ as a FB again, we need to remember how inneffective our left hand side was without him this year.
It has arguably been the most effective wing in the NRL this season and a huge reason as to why Souths finished where they did and AJ wrapping around off Cody is a big part of that.
According to Fox Sports stats, he is 4th for tries (8), 2nd for try assists (14), 3rd for total try involvements (26), equal 1st for line breaks (18) and second for line break assists (18) for Souths and across all FB's in the league is in the top 5 for all categories.
Yes he is a work in progress but in his first full season as an NRL FB, I'd be happy to give him a pass mark.

You are so right itsa the nrl telling refs to lay off the whistle played right into those popsicles hand who exploited them to the max, even the fox commentators were saying it what a joke this game has become

It will be interesting to see if Corey Allen can wrestle the fullback possie of AJ next season.

If Allen comes into the club and proves to be an upgrade then it would be silly not to make the change. Every position should be up for grabs.
Making changes for the sake of it though will only set the playing group back and cause disruption to combinations.

Cody Walker Post-Match Reaction: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2018/09/08/well-turn-it-around-next-weekend-walker/

I just watched the replay and am feeling a lot more positive about that game because Itsa is right, a lot of teams wouldn't have got as close as we did. At the end of the day, the result is what really matters and a loss is a loss but we weren't far off at all. I'm not making excuses but it was just the little things that let us down like turning over the ball and some individuals making bad choices in attack. If we got those right, I reckon we certainly would've won comfortably.

What's more (and again I'm not making excuses) but gee Melbourne got away with a lot last night. I didn't really realise until now how far offside they were for most of the game, it was like five meters offside at times like FFS!! Yet, we weren't allowed the same which was BS! The Storm were also quite dirty at times I noticed as they tried to work over our players arms in the tackle or hit them late.

So really, we just have to fix up a few little areas and trust in the process. Like Seibs said in the Press Conference, we don't need to next week is not about a rebound, we know exactly what we need to do, it's just a matter of getting out there and executing it.

On another note, could you please make a 3, 2, 1 thread @Different kind of Rabbit?
