I just wanted to get on here before the games start this weekend and wish you and your mob well.
And let's hope The Battle of '67 comes to fruition. It's the GF the NRL didn't know it needed until it does!
I'm confident my mob will do their part in making it happen tomorrow night.
Yes I got to see my all time grand final parra v penrith now I want to see the our 67 fellow brothers play each other.Best of luck against the storm

Would love to see it. The much fawned over purple scum failing to make the gf is motivation enough.

Fair play to you if it happens for calling it in the Vegas thread too.

The more I’ve been thinking about this game the more I think we punch our ticket to the Penrith Invitational next weekend. The only question that remains is who else will be attending? I’d love to extend the invite to the Sharks.

This is a good article about Nathan and worth a read.

There is one fact mentioned in the article that bodes well for us on Sunday:
Cleary’s 26-game win streak in day games. The 27-year-old halfback hasn’t lost a day game since 2019, which was the last year the Panthers didn’t make the Grand Final.

Lets hope Sunday is lucky win number 27 for him!

Relax, its just a Ruse to suck in the opposition.
100% agree.

Our left has been flawless all year with those young fella's, with the help of Scotty and Garner, absolutely dominant in most games and then next minute we are up by about 30 and they miss some tackles.

Classic rope a dope move by Ivan.

Broncs will go there looking for the perceived weaknesses and then wham, get flogged by the young fella's.

I'd love it to be the sharks. There is an air of destiny around the Broncos right now and every single human who isn't a panthers fan wants a broncos win.

Tell that to the young children of Australia.

Destiny and Penrith are two words that can hardly be separated.

This team was last on the ladder. Written off like your Dad's Chrysler Valiant. Then out of nowhere we put on a winning streak barely anyone could predict or fathom. It was fairytale stuff and even some of our biggest die hard fans on this forum would admit that.

Its going to be the 67 brothers next week. That is true destiny.

Its going to happen.

We are a game that was founded near federation times. But 67 was an important year. Both our clubs entered this great competition and thank god they did. The Shire and the true West had to have representation.

It took us a bit longer to find success. Sharks found it a bit earlier but a premiership win alluded them for many years. That monkey is no longer on their back and Nicho Hynes is strutting around like a prizefighter. If the model of linear improvement truly exists then we should see a grand final entrance for the Sharks in 2025.

Starts tonight. They are wildly underrated at $3.04.

I always have that little bit of nervousness until the final whistle blows. Just how I am.

Nothing an amber ale can't fix.

It won't be an easy game. It never can be when its sudden death. Their attack aside they are well rested and have a bumper, rabies infested crowd behind them.

The injuries to key players and an overstuffed spine will be the Broncos downfall.

Good luck to you as well brother.

(Have to add though, the movie in which I assume you take your handle from, absolutely destroyed me as a kid... I should've listened to Mum and not watched it lol)

Broncs are going to be incredibly hard to beat on sunday. We arent the defensive juggernaut of years gone by and their attack is unreal when on song.

We are very much going to have our work cut out for us.

Don't forget round 8. The Broncos put on amazing attacking performance against the Bulldogs in the rain. They announced themselves as a competition heavy weight. It was special to watch.

But don't forget round 9. In my opinion our best performance of 2025 before the finals. We demoralised the Broncos that day. It was one way traffic early then we tightened the screws.

We've got a bit of mental scaring on the Broncos I think.

Broncos pack is weak at full strength and complete trash as named. We are better on paper in about 12 of 17 positions and have performed as good as we look on paper in finals games for 5 years. The only reason to think we might lose is just because no-one can keep winning forever.

Atkins and his ping ping ping in the early going.
