Why we would want to help the Dogs in any way is beyond me...and people believe it is to make cap space...when do we ever get any player of note with our available cap?

Soft. We are just soft.
He has not been playing and apparently under treatment for a back injury, why not let the Dogs have the added expense of his wages and rehab.

Flanno had all year to let Lawrie go but he doesn't re sign the next best forward only 19 . Gould keeps signing players mid season how is this allowed Galvin now Latu why give bulldogs an advantage.
Look out he will be ok to play us next game Gould will start Latu for his debut.

Yes, what gives? It just amazes me how Gould gets deals done. He knows talent and so does Ciraldo. They look at all players running around and put circles around players' names and work on a way to lure them to their club. They have a way to talk to managers of proposed new players and a way to talk to players they don't want and their managers as well and then get rid of one and get another just like that.

Gould is very close to the player managers. Especially the ones that have the best players and juniors in their stable

Talking of Dragons ending up at the Dogs. I might be alone here but I was glad to see Kurt Mann playing Origin on Wednesday and getting some recognition late in his career. He always looked like a first grader but we screwed him around and didn't know what to do with him. A common problem for us.
Yep, and this is a time to remember that we are still in a phase of undoing all the damage that the McGreogor era did to the club. That’s where the rot really started. Mann was another player that McGregor screwed around season after season. Bench? Fullback? 5/8? Centre? Lock? Scapegoat? Then he went to another club who had a similar moron for a coach - Knights - with much the same results.
No surprise he’s now settled and playing consistently well. Bellamy always rated him.

Could you imagine Blake lawrie in the Panthers or storm system

how has this bloke managed a 10 year career in the NRL???
Because he plays at the Dragons. Home of the worst forward pack in the NRL for the last 5 years or so and for much of the decade before that. Home of monumentally dumb recruitment decisions year after year after year.
Yet you’ll still come across people who stick up for him because he plays “with heart”. Just give me a prop who’ll do some damage FFS. Would be nice to see that for a change.

CAP CLEANOUT

The Canterbury Bulldogs continue to offload players to free up salary cap space. Last week it was Kurtis Morrin, who left to join the Gold Coast Titans. This week it’s former Warriors young gun Zyon Maiu’u, who is being offered to rival clubs – just four months after arriving at Belmore. It was only in February that the Dogs announced his arrival in a press release: “The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to announce the signing of boom youngster Zyon Maiu’u on a two-year deal, effective immediately.”

Has anyone here seen him play??
Remember all the carry on when the Dogs signed Tom Amone, aka the best prop by far in the English Super League.
Think the same scenario applies here.
Just like the way some of the Queensland players struggle to adapt to life in Sydney, some Warrior's players also seem to struggle when moving away from NZ

Yeah my guess was like for like Latu / Zyon might be a good swap

Zyon is two years older atleast older and very similar but slightly bigger and could become a prop........edge or middle so far

We need tough as nails, no nonsense props who can DOMINATE. Getting so tired of the types we eventually end up with. None of the young ones coming through meets my criteria. Yes, they will play as hard as they can but still not tough, mobile and no nonsense types who can get over the opposition and not be rag dolled and stopped in his tracks. Need guys who can palm off opposition and offload. Offloads are so important and if we can have a few guys to do this we can get the halves and centres to run off them. Back rowers in my opinion are not speedy enough. I like Briton Nikora from Cronulla as an example of a good back rower - sleek, fast and scores tries.

Need a flashy, safe fullback, we really do and at least one speedy, rangy winger. The halves positions are so important for managing between the forwards and backs - need decisive, quick decision ones with speed and acceleration and tough defence and a very good passing and kicking game.

Maybe can do with a couple of more players that can change the course of the game when needed.

Main thing is to defend like hell any points lead we have. Great defence wins nearly all games.

Speed is essential. Speed, speed, speed.

I've said enough.

is that the guy the dogs replaced with Latu? Looks like an animal and tough nut the way he doesnt react to things, but its so tricky cause hes not the established alpha were after (and im sure there will be a reason hes being booted).. but the player we want might not exist either.. and how long do we want to wait?

For me that #1 priority is someone to help Jack, Toby and Ryan, we can have a project if we want, maybe replacing Fifita/Mick/Lawrie/Klem etc.. but were atleast 1x $500k+ value first grade prop short for sure.

Edit: I should say that I could put together a video of V.Fifitas first few carries in each match, that would make him look like the next immortal.. but it would be very misleading in terms of his overall value.
