Hey Guys, Just wondering what use think the penalty will be.... Can we do without the crappy posts and just post what you seriously think will be the fine.

I have allready lost 2 points by going 67 in a 50 zone, But the copper dropped it down to a Under 15 kms fine. Lost 2 demerit points

Now I have gone 70 in a 40 zone through a school zone at 2.37pm not knowing it was school zone because the speed is usually 70. So i was 30kms over this time. The fine was $203 and i lost 3 demerit points.

I am a P plater and i have lost all up 5 points, and I started with 4 points.

What do you think the suspension will be.

3 Months or 6 Months?

Please make me happy.

i dont need a bit lecture on speeding, It was a road I was unsure of and I was going the usual speed limit of 70 until it dropped down to 40 because of a school zone and I was booked 7 mins into it by a camera. As Ill say again, I was unaware of the speed and thought it continued at 70 as I saw no 40 zones. The point of the matter is, I didnt ask whether Im in the wrong or not, I allready know that, I want to know whether it'll be 3 months or 6 months, Im hoping most say 3, But ahh well. We will see.

just don't speed mang. from my experience, girls like safe drivers, not insane garys. i'm sure your not insane, and you certainly aren't a gary these days. just don't speed. it's not worth it. just think of what that $203 could have brought.

Yes I am serious. Things like this aren't taken lightly, especially a P plater.

Ive had mates lose their licence for a year when on their P's cos the authorities wanted to teach them that tey can't get away with it. It makes you a more responsible driver when you get your licence.

Well most people I have asked so far say 3 months for sure, No way 6. But now your getting me scared. And Nibbs, I know what I done wrong, Im not really worried about the fine, I have the money for it. Im more worried about losing it for 3 or 6 months.

There's no exception for speeding and no valid explanation. Just don't start bitching and whining about it, or you could cop a lengthier suspension.

next time you are "unaware" you could be taking someones life.

now onto the thread.. my mate got done for a 15 k speeding fine and 1 seatbelt violation and lost his p's for 3 months..

i think with what you've done you will lose them for 6 months though

Its not an excuse, It's true mang!, I really didn't know. It was 70, Suddenly Im booked, I didn't even see a 40 zone, But ahh well. That's life. We all make mistakes, I dont want everyone lecturing me, Im upset enough as it is.

OMG, Shut up would you. MadUnit you sound like my bloody father, I know what I did was wrong, I very rarely SPEED. I did and got caught. Yes Im Stupid. But for f**k sake, Stop telling me what I did was wrong was stupid and so on. I don't have to hear it. I know I'll learn whether it be 3 or 6 months.
