first album i bought was a cassette(mid 70's) called "from here to eternity"

an album of badly done covers of space related songs- rocketman,life on mars(they get the lyrics wrong on this one!),starwars theme,2001 theme,telstar,calling occupants etc.

still own it and get it out now and again just to hear how bad it was.

First album I bought was 'The Best Ever Footy Album' when I was 15. It's meant to be a League album so what the f**k 'Up there Cazaly' is doing on CD 2 is beyond me!

First cassette was a little embarrassing - Bill Haley & the Comets, not sure what it was called, was in brass bands and big bands at the time and their work got a bit of a run so had that interest in them.

First Vinyl was Metallica's And Justice For All - Was a double LP as well.. pretty sure i still got that somewhere.

CD - i am not sure, likely to have been Metallica but no idea really which one.

Like others my first cassette was Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms - title track still gives me chills actually.

When my oldies got our first CD player, the old man bought me Ac/DC - TNT which I still have. Great album. This would be late eighties, I believe.
