I reckon that was the first bad call to go our way in at least 12 months. About time! What was McWomanus doing? Catch the ball.

Only 2 penalties for us... again. Funny that.

About time Mullen had a decent game too. A captains knock from him, imo. I really don't think we should take too much out of that one. Pretty good completion, but with nothing much at the end of it again. Probably should stop running plays for Wes pretending he's Kurt.

Ok good that we got the 2 points but damn, we struggled to put away a reserve grade side that pretty much kept giving the ball to us. We never looked like comfortably winning it.

That decision from Hampstead for Ryan's try has gotta be one of the worse calls this year. That just killed the dogs chances. But then again we have been getting all the crap refing decisions so far this year so it was about time.

Dureau seemed to have another ordinary game this week. Don't remember seeing him put a decent kick in. Maybe about time Walshy gets a go.

Overall, I'd say that win was handed to us.

I thought Mullo grounded it too...was waiting for the frame by frame replay but they didn't really give it. Very surprised it didn't go to the video ref anyway.

Boy the Dogs were atrocious and we weren't too much better but still deserved the win. I did think that was an improvement on last week though. You all know I'm a big fan of Dureau but he has really fallen off the pace in the last 2 weeks, will be interesting to see what Smithy does with him.

Nice debut from Sau, and Hilder was straight into top gear - really made a difference to our defence and was great from dummy half.

Edit: I should also add we have had all of our luck for the next month as well, expect us to get caned in the penalty stats for another significant period!

Finally the decisions went the knights way for a change.

Fair effort without spectacular although the conditions contributed to that.

Hilder was massive in defence and kept the middlle tight.

Dureau again went missing in action and got replaced. He is just too slow.doesn't control the game as a half back and doesn't possess the skills to make up for the lack pace. When he was replaced the knights started to gain momentum with Mullo and Bailey in the halves.

Sau went well for his debut and with two tries will keep his place.

Whilst the conditions didn't allow for expansive football, I am still concerned that we do not have enough players in motion in attack and rely on too much one out football.

Notwithstanding that the decisions went our way, the knights were still the better side on the knight and will give them confidence next week agaiost the Cowboys.

I was wondering where he was at one stage there.

Seemed like he played the first 20 minutes then Bailey came on and never noticed Dureau any more besides for a few lazy tackle attempts.

just prooves to me you blokes dont watch the game or only see what you want to see...didnt know dureau went off...what a laugh....great call from coach to add an extra forward for 15 and get on top of dogs....look at stats scotty made 24 tackles. and was ok in general play,, is playing at typical smith half back game.. just because he isnt winning every game single handed like a previous half back does not mean he isnt doing his bit for the team...he is our best half and jarrod our best 5/8 and are working a great combo keeping teams guessing as to who is going to kick and will be a lethal combo for many games to come...go you knights ..top eight for sure.

Really liked Wicks' break from kick off! Really entertaining and put a smile on my face knowing he is improving and putting alot of effort in.

I really like see Fa'aoso take a hit-up.
The way he runs, and hits the line, is like a monster trying to break free with a chain around his neck. Struggling and turning trying to break free. Hits very hard.

Hilder, what a performance from him. Did his job in the middle and what a tackling machine!

I really liked watching our team played tonight, really looking forward to next week!

Exactly. Some people can only watch a game with their hand held by a commentator. Since the commentators never mentioned it, they never noticed. Sad indeed.

LOL well excuse me for doing other stuff while watching the game and not paying 100% to it. Perhaps I should go ahead and glue my eyes to the TV well in advance of the Knights next game so that I don't miss a single thing?

Nice to chalk up a win. It wasn't pretty but hey a win's a win at this partiuclar juncture. I do wonder what might've happened had that Andrew Ryan saga been refered. If it was awarded a try then could that have turned the game back into teh favour of the bow wows? Nice to finally see the Knights get some luck go our way for a change.

Couldn't agree more. Even if it doesn't put us into the Top 8 at least it's putting some runs on the board. That being said, we should have kicked on more at 22-6. We needed to put them to the sword properly and when we come up against the Cowboys we need to put them away quickly because they can suprise you.

Yeah I still say we need to have a win where we put our opponants to the sword. With any luck we can do that next monday night against the cowboobs.

Too right, there are people on these boards who expect our next number 7 to play like A.Johns every week, Dureau made some mistakes sure, and Mullen and Kidley and even the flavour of the month (Bailey) all have made mistakes in the halves recently. It seems we need to be caning whoever is the current 7 every time he doesn't walk on water.
