Gidley was OK at dummy half, and what other choice do we have?

I would also like to see Scott start in 7.

I would start White up front with Simpson.

Move Mark to the back row with Patto. I feel he is best work is done from this position.

Bench props would be Faas and Dan. I thought Dan was great off the bench last weekend.

Wicks and Ciraldo what a joke. I would even go to blood some of the NYC players such as Edwards ahead of these two clowns and Stig deserves a chance who has been really impressive in NYC.

Wes is a bludger who makes no effort to bring the ball back with pace to gain metres for his team. Will Uate ever get a run?

I would put Bailey on the bench and even though I have not been a real fan of Dureau, I would play him at 7 to see whether he can get some consistency in his game.

Uate is not a fullback. Not at PL, let alone NRL.

Could one of the guys who sees or hears a bit about the local Newcastle first grade comp tell me what that standard is like compared to say NSW cup?

Is it to big ask for someone ot move through the grades that way once they are too old to play under 20's?

Some players do it.
Chris Bailey most recently - and last season several guys got a run in the PL side - Wes Tillot, Willie Po'leo maybe a few others.
This season Scott Briggs has had seveal games and other guys like Matt Cooper, Byron Warren and Justin Apthorpe have had a game or two of NSW cup, and i would give Matt Cooper another run if it were up to me, and Warren looked pretty good getting a triple in a trial game.
No Chris Bailey, George Carmont, Mark Hughes or Billy Peden this season, but senior players do come through the local comp from time to time.

Getting very strong vibes there may not be a knights reggie team next year. if that's the case, I suggest there will be a lot of players leaving the club.

Thanks Roops. Lot of first grade experience and some household names there. Even a few NRL Grand final winners.

I know a few guys who went from playing in the Newcastle comp to the Central Coast Storm this year. From what they've told me they feel like they would have more chance of cracking first grade back in the Newcastle comp then staying with the Storm. Supposedly Reegan Tanner tears the house down every week but you can bet on your life he wont play FG for Melbourne even if they have 15 players out through injury.

He still has time to turn it around but so far he hasn't prooven me wrong, I hope he does. The guys his picking need to step up aswell. We need a change of culture big time, picking the same dudes all the time when their playin bad is just sh*t and pisses me off.
