just to ask a favour of the forum as a whole for tonights game - if anyone is able to can they record the post-match media conference they have for monday night football and upload it to youtube? i always really enjoy watching it but will be watching the game at the pub tonight and will have to bail the minute the match ends, so i'm gonna miss it.

if anyone actually does this for me i will seriously spurt in my pants.

i'll post this post in both the match thread and the video thread in a genuine effort to make the right people see it.

Interesting that Smith clearly said Dureau is out because he is injured.
Just like Walshy last season he is obviously carrying a leg injury.

After listening to it twice I don't think that's what he meant. He mightn't have made it exactly clear, but I believe Smith was indicating that this was the first game in which the halves pairing was a selection choice. (Although it would also have been true of round 1.) He was talking about Gids being thrust in when Mullo was out, and then Bails getting his chance when Dureau was injured "of late". He went on to state that while Mullo, Bails and Dureau all remained available he would have no qualms in switching Mullo between half and 5/8 and picking his partner based on the game plan for that week's opposition (and form of course).

I think we can agree that he is keeping future options open.

Apparently Minichello has to see a specialist tomorrow.

So I guess he is out.
