I'm a bit worried about this game now...

What usually happens this time of the year is teams fighting for the 8 lose to teams who are already done for the year and play like they have nothing to lose.

Big danger game!
If we're fair dinkum, and yes I know we're without Mullen, Simpson and Wicks, but we still should win this game if we harbour any ambitions of making the eight. We've still got Buderus and Gidley and as long as they're there, we should be ok.

Oh ok, yeah I just read that in the NRL gameday forum :p

Great news if true on Mullo, not so for Simmo.

Half-time and a really good effort so far.

14-6 to us.

Matt White has been REALLY good, I think he's played the whole 40!?

Dureau starts the match, he's going quite good, set up a couple of tries, was within a toes length of getting a 40/20.

Gidley's goal kicking has been sh*t, and that's just about the only negative. Actually and his general kicking game has been poor.

Other good players have been Taia, Sau and Paterson.

Smith has come up with a great plan for Buderus by making him defend wider which will keep him more fresh throughout the match, great plan.

Fa'aoso has also provided nice impact off the bench.

MacDougall has been 50/50 some nice runs and all but some stupid errors and penalties.

Matt White made almost 100m in that first half, one of the best prop efforts we've had all year.

With the exception of goalkicking that was a pretty comprehensive performance. 8 trys to 2, with another one disallowed. No one played badly, we didn't miss many tackles unfortunately a couple we're on Wing and Merritt and they made us pay both times. Other than that they never looked like scoring in the second half and we looked dangerous every time we had the ball no matter where we were.

I'd like to give a rap to Houston for not giving away any penalties but still doing a heap of work and another one to Ciraldo for playing his second good game in a row.

Today was so awsome id probably end up writing so much blubber :p

So i'll leave it at that was sooooooo good.

And I think Brian Smith deserves a lot of credit. He selected a great team and they performed very well, used the bench exceptionally well and eased Buderus back into the game nicely.

Yes, twas one of the best days in a long time!

We did great considering we were still missing Mullen, Royal, Simpson, Cross, Hilder, etc

Im very interested on seeing how Uate's Hammie pulls up..it looked very tight, he has had some issues with b4 too! Fingers crossed, because he was awesome today, yes it was against ateam who couldnt tackle a cold today, but he too full advantage of it..great to have strike weapon like that finaly in this team..he and Sau..awesome combo becoming there!

great work to the boys..they were scrappy at times, but really put Souths to the sword when it was time...and we havnt done that to a team in a good couple years...Good stuff
Yep..solid stuff Smithy..

Mentioned in another thread.

Very solid, but still inconsistent in last attacking options. Killed a couple of attacking raids with poor kicks that either went dead too easily or cross kicks that were ineffective.

Had the benefit of playing against a very poor Rabbitohs team.

He was very solid today, but we saw he could play early in the season. He performed like this against the Raiders and Sea Eagles in Round 1 and 2.

Then he had some games that were shockers.

He can clearly play good footy when he is at his best.

Consistency is the key for him now. From here til the end of the season.

Eels next Monday and we need an encore solid performance from him again. And then again after that.

Uate does the 'dance of the dying swan' after every decent tackle. He needs his own trainer and magic sponge - but he is always good in 2 minutes.

Was bloody awesome to see us score some tries. It was entertaining, not like the friday night games which were boring as bat sh*t.

Hopefully we can keep doing it and guys like Ciraldo Houston and Taia can keep playing consistently well.
