Ok that seems closer to what I would have guessed. My figure was off the super league site match report about half hour after full time.

Honestly huddersfield looked more like 10k

8,759 at Huddersfield. Super League site is garbage.

Enjoyed both televised games this weekend. Great result for Cas again too.

I was just comparing stats between Leeds/Hudds and Manly/Storm, probably the 2 best games from both sides of the World this weekend. Now I said earlier that the Leeds game was the best SL game I had seen in a few years. It was quick, intense and there were very few errors. I also said it was as good as anything you will see in the NRL this week (and probably wont be matched too often this season). Anyway, heres the stats:

Leeds v Hudds

Error count was 7-7 too.

Manly v Melbourne

I know it doesn't happen too often but it was great to see a high quality game that would be classed as a top NRL game over in the SL.

The Leeds Huddersfield game was a brilliant watch. Loved it live. They are both very well drilled sides. Further proof of why ESL sides should play their trials against the NRL teams. The quality is there. The exposure to it is not.

So what's up with Castleford? Any particular player the reason they are 4 and 0?
Not really, that's kind of the point. They seem to be playing a lot more as a team rather than everything going through Rangi Chase for the past few years. They also have a pretty good coach for the first time in a while, and a lot of squad depth (probably the deepest squad I've ever seen, around 25 established senior players and a bunch of other youngsters with first grade experience). I doubt their run will last too much longer but they're going well at the moment.

Well good on them for now anyway, Widnes too. Even though their form may drop it's still refreshing to see them in the top 4 rather than down the bottom with London, Salford and Wakefield as they usually are.

Catalans have been very unlucky re injuries and suspensions.

However, they still fielded a strong team against st helens. A team that if they played together for the next few weeks should have no trouble beating bradford, london, and maybe some of the curent successful but bound to have their bubbled burst clubs ie widnes

They have about 12 first graders injured/suspended ATM, maybe more.

Cheers, that would certainly explain it then. I haven't been able to catch any of their games or follow them closely this year, have the injuries allowed them to blood any exciting French youngsters? Any new talent coming through?
