After watching Sports Sunday this morning, it would be safe to say that Ian Chappell has very little regard for know-it-all Fitzhardon.

I saw that too. Funny as f**k.

They even made a joke about.

Rude-headed chick : “Chappelli, I saw you roll your eyes there, why was that?

Bandana Tool : Probably because I said it.

:joy:

A shute shield gf?

Sheesh that is a far cry from the "I wouldn't call Rugby League a spent force but..." days following the 2003 World Cup.

Watching the fall of the ugly game has been excruciatingly beautiful.

It's (the ugly game)still doing its subversive tricks elsewhere though!

The last time I saw Shute shield was a GF on ABC. Varsity against Gay Gordons or someone. At least 1,000 people maybe 1,500 at Concord. 5 mins to go varsity up by 1 with whoever attacking within Varsity's 25. Ball comes loose and gets thrown back to the varsity fullback in the in-goal who punts it out on the full at 35m. Whoever's line-out but the ball isn't thrown in straight. Scrum to Varisty. Varsity stuffs around and then collapses the scrum; reset; Varsity stuffs around and then collapses the scrum again. Reset - and the ref says if you do it again, I will be really angry and give a penalty. Varsity stuffs around until the bell.

What an exciting end to the season

Rugby union would be almost non existent in Australia if this code played on Sundays.Unfortunately rugby league whom has administrators/club people that insist on senior games being played on Sundays has given the union code social relevance at a local level. This should be remedied by senior local rugby league being played on Saturdays. The benefits of social relevance and increased recovery time in player welfare issues/injuries would far out way the "lazy" administrator that seems to think that their is too much on during a Saturday and makes the players and code suffer instead. Ofcourse at the same time, continuing to feather the nest of rugby union playing ranks by doing so.

Apparently this is the stuff that makes rugger fans smile....
But the game came to a frustrating end with the final six minutes taken up almost entirely with scrums collapsing and being reset before Manly was awarded a penalty try that sealed their win.

Let’s live in the shadow of Union and do what they do.

Ok. So let's give that code total relevance in North Sydney?! Great idea! Let's forget that their is a perfectly good club in the Bears that would instantly gain back lost fans. But no that's too strategically wise for our code in North Sydney and surrounds. Let's just give it away like seems to be happening! Geniuses!

Sydney doesn’t need another club. If north Sydney needs representation force Manly back in to a merger.
