The idiot just said on 9 about how the Arthur Summons was on the Winfeild Cup.
And then was corrected that they still use that pic in the current NRL trophy.

What a idiot especially when they showed a current pic on the Telstra Cup on TV before they started talking about Arthur's death (he also sneaked in that Arthur played for the Wallabies)

Mind you when he's under the pump about rugby league, he always mentions how he followers the NRL.

Shane Warne and Fitz Simon are in the same bin.

Yesterdays heroes seeking to keep themselves in the spotlight to feed the ego.

Except, Fitz Simon was never a hero. But he never got suspended for use of banned substance. Or done taking cash of a bookmaker. Or smoking while taking sponsorship money off an anti-smoking organisation. Or making a C of himself bagging the most successful cricket captain in Australian history..

At least Warne is an interesting narcissist.

On Sunday during the discussion on NRL players and the anti vaxers, they brought up the Titan's duo.And the possibility of standdowns.
Bandana Head couldn't contain himself stating it wouldn't affect their crowds if they did, because they have none.
The rest of the panel said zilch, just winced.

Seriously has his Hankiness sighted the crowds or should I say relatives at the Rebels, Brumbies,Tahs recently ,before COVID-19.
His code is suffering the death of a thousand cuts ,so sniping at rugby league solves the problem in his eyes.
Looking at Mark Taylor's facial reaction to Hanky's comments.it's becoming obvious he thinks the guy is a real plank.

Hankyhead better get used to seeing more of this. Any current union player worth a damn isn't going to stick around playing in a substandard Australian competition for peanuts. Those who are established union players will head off to Japan or France for better money while the young up-and-comers will aspire to play NRL.

And Australia will become a perennial backwater for union players before it eventually withers and dies.

And may it be a long, slow painful death....

I always liked Tubby both as player and commentator but my respect has increased even more for him watching his genuine lack of respect for Fitzsimmons and calling him out on his blatant Rugby League vitriol.

He is basically the equivalent of a vegan on facebook except he gets paid a ridiculous amount to be a whiny twat that just straight out ignores facts and logic

Onionball falling over in Aus will also hurt the game in NZ. South Africa cannot prop up the game in NZ at the pro level forever and Japan doesn't want a bar of it. Sink the boot in by putting another NRL team in NZ!

If done correctly, the NRL's next three expansion teams could be a real blow to their competitors in those markets:

Perth: following the demotion of the Western Force would put RL ahead of Union
Brisbane 2: would be a massive blow for the Reds and Lions that basically have room to breathe because of a lack of live RL
NZ 2: for reasons you've just pointed out

Now, we just need to get someone at NRL HQ to realise that...

Yes although regarding Brisbane, they have a lot of expat Victorians who’ve moved up over the years to thaw out from years in bleak city. So think the lions have plenty of barnacles stuck to their hull, plugging the gaps to keep the old boat afloat.

But on the subject of Qld Rugby - what ever happened to Ballymore??
