Nearly fell over when he ran out with headgear on in round two, one of Sheens pet hates. I remember him banning Fulton from using head gear when he first came into 1st grade. Could have only been for medical reasons

A bit of an odd 'pet hate'

I'd like to know his reasoning behind it.

My pet hate is Sheens and his fascination with Morris and Fitzy, that is really annoying and has been and is contining to be detrimental to our chances of making the top 4.

He, and others believe it encourages fear. If you're scared of getting hurt - don't go out etc. Wish he'd apply that across the park though.

maybe wearing headgear gives the player the apearence of looking like a dickhead,,,, and Tim knows there is only room for 1 dickhead at weststigers.

But i think it may have just been the fact being a pommy playing in 30 heat against the chooks he thought f**k this thing its too hot to wear.

You have to wonder why he played Moltzen at fullback for so long then

not having a dig at you westie, but I'm still not convinced that wearing headgear actually encourages fear.

Wouldn't it be an apparatus designed to minimise fear. It's a protection thing, you wear it to prevent etc etc, meaning you're more confident with it on then without it on.

Nonsense RE: headgear and Sheens.

Didn't the Captain of the Raiders team in which Tim Shames coach wear headgear ?

Dean Lance.... He was one of the toughest players going around.

Flanagan did really well as soon as he entered the field against Parra, made a couple of intelligent breaks and used ted the ball well at the end of them, no panicking.

He was instumental in Benji's try and in defence he fronted up suprisingly well against the Parra forwards. There was a point in the game where I thought a duel was developing between Flanagan and Moi Moi. Flanagan hit Moi moi regularly and stoppped him in hi stracks then brought him down with help from his team mates.

He's a really good buy for Wests and given time will get better and better.

Would like to see him get more minutes than he did against the raiders. Does anyone know if he has ever played centre?. Could be the replacement for Blake Ashford.

Apart from his attacking prowess, he punches above his weight in Defence. Really puts the shoulder in. He has it all.
