I think I have worked it out Cap'n. One of our coaching staff has to spend more time with Pom.
In your avatar it is obvious that The Pom still has all his digits in a flat rigid position. He needs to be shown how to curl the fingers around in a "bowl" shape to let the ball lodge into the receptive area of the palm.
Once the ball lodges in that area the fingers should recoil in and help grip the pill.
I think this should be shown to pom using high res slow motion camera work. Then the coaching staff could explain it using a white board - marker combo, followed by some basic eye hand exercises.
If this doesnt work in conjunction with the baby vid, then perhaps a threat of violence might be the last resort.
I know we cant use a gun as a last resort, the Phantom Agents wouldn't allow it.
