It was interesting to see Gus Gould do a one on one interview with Flanno on 100% Footy last night on his paid TV gig!
What cannot be understated is that Wayne Beavis is more than a Manager of both these men and is supposedly friends & advisor to both.
It was like a paid promotion to get maximum exposure of Shane Flanagan to any prospective club and attract maximum dollars.

Although most panel members claimed he would be a good fit at the RedV, Danny Weidler said to expect the unexpected.

I don't know what to not expect.

Maybe as care taker coach , some how other clubs would make it work , shonky or not ......
Except Todd Greenberg has this all locked up on Flanno

It’s a quandary for all those with half a brain as we all see that Mary has to go, but taking on Flanno would I probably be a decision the board takes because then they can say, Mary must stay till end of his contract, Flanno cannot take control until then

Queue Dean Young as an interim coach would be the Dragons logic and complete pecking order boys club Plan B.
That is exactly my thoughts. Dean Young will step in if Mary fails with Flanno as assistant pulling the strings. But Mary is smart and will do whatever Flanno tells him to so he can save his ar$e. The minute he goes against Flanno he will start the team will start losing and then he will lose his job but if he starts winning and they do have some success, in 2 years time he will get the long contract and Flanno will be let go or poached by another club offering him bigger dollars to coach them. Mary has nothing and if he continues will be gone so Flanno (that is if he gets the nod) will run the show and Mary will be trying to take as much credit as possible to improve his below par resume.

There isn’t a big pond of experienced first grade coaches around without a team maybe except Toovey
If we do get Flanagan as an assistant coach maybe we can get Greenberg to reduce the two year ban on coaching first grade reduced to one year. That would mean Flanagan could be our coach in 2021. But I’m sure McIdiot would throw Flanagan under the bus at the first opportunity

We're not the Roosters so Greenburg will keep a very close eye on hou we use Flanagan. Once Dean Young gets the top job, no one will have a chance of replacing him. The Board is guided by Craig Young on these matters.

So pairing Flannigan and a coach like Brown or Griffin for two years, would ensure that the likes of Young won't get a chance to stuff up our coaching and provide the best chance of success.

That's fine with me, provided that Flanagan is the one running the show.

Easy, put a puppet in place for Flanno to call the shots.
...............Oh ............... we have already one.
His name is Mc, what????
McGregor did you say?

Ok, ditch McGregor, bring in Mr Squiggle.
If were going to have a puppet, might as well have a real puppet!

Flanno stays under the desk for the next two years.
Might need to renovate the desk.
McGregor can paint it.
