Go back and read a few posts and you'll see a couple of us came up with a few options a few nights ago.

Flanagan isn't the be all end all, this is just dumb logic by a presumably dumb person.

They are building something under him its clear to see, they don’t get to this point by chopping & changing coaches.

Any coach worth their salt can turn a team around in 2-3 seasons. Unfortunately that hasn't happened as of yet and unless it happens soon, Flanagan should be moved on.

Mary coached for much longer than he should have and any Dragons supporter would tell you that, it's certainly not a reason as to why Flanagan should be extended.

You making comparisons to Ricky's Raiders and Mary's coaching shows you love mediocrity. Have fun with that buddy, you're on a hiding to nothing.

Your logic sounds worse do you think before you write a post ? He won a comp, that's great but that was almost 10 years ago, the game has changed. Let's see how supercoach gets the team up for today because if we get flogged and you use social media you will see just how divided the fan base is on if Flanno is the right coach to persist with. Benefit of the doubt until the end of the season, we finish bottom 4 he is gone.

I am not going back through posts to see who you & others are suggesting. My guess is someone unproven or even worse Dean Young or Ben Hornby.

We are in a re-build how can you not see that we all want success, we were one out of the 8 last year & have virtually a new spine.

This year we could finish worse that's the point. Coach is meant to improve the team, I can't see us being 1 game from the 8 this year. Flanno has said from his own mouth that this year's team is better according to him.. so where's his excuse?

The signing of Cook was to replace the loss of Hunt.

The coach wanted another old hand whose heart is elsewhere, whose best years are behind them and who we can call a captain and can collect a big pay cheque.

McInnes ditched us (even though he was somewhat pushed).
Frizzell fled.
Hunt's heart has always been in QLD.
Cook bleeds red and green, and I guarantee he is back at Souths coaching the day after we are done with him.

We can't even get our captains right.

It's easy to talk up signings like Woods, Mbye and Cook and publicly announce all their wonderful qualities and experience but these signings are just convenience signings.

Cook has been okay. He is versatile. But it's all very underwhelming when we should be building for our future. Liddle could have mentored the next guy coming through.

Instead of Cook and Atkinson, we hsould have recruited Robson and Dce.

Nothing to see here. Right before they were about to go out of the sheds.. flanno had 7 mins prior to that. In all the games of footy I’ve played, I’ve never not been addressed by an assistant after the coach is done at half time. Sure but twist the narrative

As well as the two big props we need, plus all our other short comings in recruitment that need to be addressed, short term, we need a decent experienced half who can guide us around the park.
I would take a Hastings or, never thought I would type this, a Chad Townsend, on a deal for the rest of 2025.
