We are waiting to see who isn’t wanted by their current club.Seriously what the hell are we doing in recruitment who are we targeting we haven’t been linked to anyone since Klemmer.
This is the one consistent thing every year...we are never proactive enough in the marketplace. yes there are timelines to follow but don't tell me managers and clubs aren't talking....we always get to 2/3 through the season and all the players we need are using us for leverage or signing committing to elsewhere. while we have some promising juniors coming through (or going to dogs) we are going to need a lot more than that and excuses are starting to run out...Seriously what the hell are we doing in recruitment who are we targeting we haven’t been linked to anyone since Klemmer.
I was told he has some relationship to Doust. But I’m not sure if the person that told me that was just shit stirring or notWhy is he protected? What’s his long term affiliation with the club he has overstayed his welcome.
Yes the Anzac Day game 5 years ago!!!Like I have been told by an insider and mentioned in other posts in here, that the common dominator is Haran, he is the common denominator in all the signing f'ups and yet he is still part of the furniture?
He definitely has less than 10% of the football experience and pull of Gould to be the football manager of our club.
He should have been sacked at 1/2 time during the Anzac game.
From the opening 10 min I knew they were in big trouble ......... Their line speed left ours for dead .......my take
we played a white hot team yesterday BUT
we had to play up and in on some of those half way spread it wide plays by the Roosters first 20mins
The Roosters knew our weakness "comparitively" was decision making on the edges vs our decision making. Finau and Sloan not much experience on the edges in NRL and they went to town to find metres down our edges early in the game.
Then locked it in on field position from there, THE ROOSTERS. They knew that most likely we would slide and the Roosters advanced significant metres out wide to lock in field position.
I know all teams have to move from "sliding" to "up and in" constantly in a game BUT someone had to make the call because we let the Roosters own field position and it killed us
I feel this should have been adjusted by Gutho and or Cook with their massive experience in the NRL
The Roosters had 9 players that hadnt played an Anazac game until this wknd.........we had 8 players
they had tow halves that have only played a small amount of FG and only 3 games together
no excuses really to let the Roosters applys such pressure via field position
Not that i agree … but as per the Bennett approach, more passive defence and scramble reduces mis tackles and meant to leave more in the tank for the later parts of each halfLine speed should be so easy to coach if practiced enough at training ....whats so hard about moving up together in a straight line at least 5 steps... it only needs to be done for 40 minutes a match assuming 50% possession...and yet for years our players don't seem to be able to handle this concept
Jeez Flanno we had 28% ball in first stanza, that wasnt Ilias' fault. Then the Chooks ran rampant thru our middle, that wasnt Ilias fault. Our pack were going backwards, not Ilias fault either, We turned over two much pill in second stanza to get back into the contest, that also was not Ilias' fault. Flanno you are using Ilias as your scapegoat for one reason. You dont have the balls to sack your son.
Like when he was at Souths a scapegoat for Cody snd Lattrell.Jeez Flanno we had 28% ball in first stanza, that wasnt Ilias' fault. Then the Chooks ran rampant thru our middle, that wasnt Ilias fault. Im a simple person, if all the above applies to Ilias then doesn’t it equally apply to Flanagan the 5/8? If that’s the case then they should both go.
Yes it wasn’t his fault although his kicking game is schoolboy level. No spirals or depth or any variation other than down the fullback or winger’s throat. In saying that the chasing hasn’t been good either so they start their sets on the 30m. Not sure who is better though we have a big problem there. Does LKT kick ? Does Glover kick ? On second thought how come Holmes doesn’t kick?Like when he was at Souths a scapegoat for Cody snd Lattrell.
That must remind you of someone that we had on our books for seven long, painful years. Ilias is still learning the fundamentals of a half. Perhaps reserves is the best school room for him for a month or so. He will certainly have a larger, more willing pack to play behind. But he will be back.No spirals or depth or any variation other than down the fullback or winger’s throat.
