Flanno's New Signings

I too want success but Flanno's had to deal with a shit front office setup. It's well documented that we're still a split operation between Kogarah and Wollongong and by all accounts don't even have a recruitment officer. Training facilities that are apparently no better than high school standard and are an embarrassment by most other teams standards. I guess I'll be howled down here but I still think there's a football team in there somewhere. My main concern is can we go the distance with the cattle we've got.

Honestly if Flanno could get the team firing and we make a charge at the 8 i will be one of the first praising him but I lost all hope after Anzac day. I know there is a team there it's just Flanno has unlocked a few pieces to the puzzle but lost a few pieces and until he can find them we won't progress to anything more then a bottom 4-6 team.

Yea I think Cobbo is worth offering a nice contract to. He is class and his body shape is like an Inglis, obviously he isn't close to that level but he looks like a star that needs a change and a freshen up

Yes agree we have Ramsey the next best fullback and Dragons need to be quick on him long term. Cobbo a definite no for me Ramsey and Lawson .

Deine Mariner is an out and out star. I'm shocked that Arthurs and Shibasaki are preferred at the broncos. if he's agitating for a release when walsh comes back he would be my first pick over Young

I only watched a bit of last night, but some of the stuff from Cobbo on top of remembering that his endurance (he is a huge body) isnt wonderful + I imagine he is quite introverted in terms of his chatter in defence.. he would actually be a huge risk as a fullback.. hes probably a centre or winger only.. fullback for injury cover... which pretty much puts him alongside Val in terms of his role with us... and that reduces his $ value... and tbh probably the chances of us signing him anyway.. i.e. if we offered fullback im sure he would be a fair chance... but lots of better clubs might offer him centre/wing.

No chance he gets extended unless we make the 8. Then if we start next year badly he will be gone, hasn't earned an extension yet not even close. He has been blessed with a crop of juniors that fell in his lap. Starts today, if we don't perform the drums will start beating louder and louder

Who's narrative is this? As if Flanno's tenure is all hinging on a round 10 game. Pure and utter crap. This bullshit keeps getting brought up by the Flanno haters after each loss. The cone of silence after each win is deafening. Flanno won't lose his job, in fact, he will be extended. The only thing that worries me is if Flanno decides to move on due to the shit board he has to work with. Having to agree to have D Young as his senior assistant coach is just more moronic management from arguably the worst board in footy land.
