I still haven't seen anything from Atkinson except that he is keen and gets involved. Not the savour some on here think he is. We need a long kicker and someone to run the show.

It's hard to shine as a half coming off the bench for various positions.

If DCE has not signed with the Rorters he could be worth a look. He knows how to control the speed of a game which our halves can’t do and this has lost us too many games in2025. Also his vast experience and knowledge would be invaluable to our young halves coming through the ranks. I think money is important to him and I don’t know if we have enough in our salary cap to match what he is after.

I think DCE would have a point to prove, things are going pear shaped at Manly and he has been dropped from origin.
if he can deliver even 50% of what Cronk did when he went to the roosters, it would be huge for us.

I dunno if DCE is retiring or whether we would be in the hunt for his signature along with perhaps the Tigers who missed Reynolds and seem to want a short-term experienced 7..

But yeah I agree, DCE wouldnt be the dream signature but even if hes not running as often like the younger version of himself, he would still be a proper 7 for us, classy kicking game.. it would be a huge step up.. that 2nd year in 2027 might be a tough year to have him on the books though... it would have to be a 2yr contract to get him which is what the rorters were offering.. and what the tigers were offering reynolds.

Reed is rly thriving in U21's, that doesnt mean he will do the same in Cup and then 1sts.. but 2yrs would be ideal to buy us some time while he keeps climbing the development ladder.. next year I think he will start NSW Cup from Round 1.. I think so anyway..

It would be great if the Roosters didn't want him because of current form. He is the ideal recruit for the Dragons right now.

Could not had said it any better Dea , plus the bloke purely serves his own self interests and that being $ Dollars .

I don’t wish to waste too much time on this character other than to say that I actually feel for Manly after all they had done for the little sucker .

Off to the Gold Coast but reneges on his deal after the Sea Eagles gave him what he wanted - more dollars and now knocks back a offer for a further 2 years at Manly after apparently having talks with the Sombero sellers of the NRL .

Now that they are having second thoughts about him to greedy little beggar will not only end up not being a one - club player , but without a club at all .

He is one individual that the Dragons do not need in their ranks , no sir .

Ideally, we would have both Lomax and Holmes in our side, it really didn’t have to be one or the other. I would have made Lomax serve out his contract. He didn’t seem to be kicking stones like Hunt was.
