oh dear
The key question is, are Atkinson, Kerr and Douehi (if we sign him) going to improve the team so much from a likely bottom 4 finish to top 8 next year? Not marque I agree but a solid bench prop in the rotation. Hook did him zero favours when he was here last time
thanks for your input son, much appreciated.oh dear
I don't think they'll improve the team out of sight - frankly, though, we probably win 5-6 more games this year if one of our halves could kick. Atkinson and Douehi bring that. The key question is, are Atkinson, Kerr and Douehi (if we sign him) going to improve the team so much from a likely bottom 4 finish to top 8 next year?
I don't think they'll improve the current team all that much.
Risky strategy IMOI don't think they'll improve the team out of sight - frankly, though, we probably win 5-6 more games this year if one of our halves could kick. Atkinson and Douehi bring that.
The most important thing is that those young players like King-Togia, Stewart, T Couchman & Loko will all be another year older and hopefully wiser. Having those young players hopefully kick-on will be where big improvement comes.
Well it wasn't Flanno that let him go.Very underwhelming if he was so good why did we grant him an early release like 18 months ago he's solid but has hands like feet.
Flanno seems to enjoy bringing players back Sele, Cook, Luch & now Kerr.
Absolutely. We did it under Griffin when he played money ball with McGuire, Norman, McCullough etc, trying to bring through Amone, Sullivan & Sloan and it didn't work out.Risky strategy IMO
The hope is that the 3 of them & the further development/improvment in our young players will improve the team. The key question is, are Atkinson, Kerr and Douehi (if we sign him) going to improve the team so much from a likely bottom 4 finish to top 8 next year?

Any other signings will have to be top shelf to get us playing finals next year I reckon. The hope is that the 3 of them & the further development/improvment in our young players will improve the team.
Also I am sure theren will be another signing or two. Hopefully they will be good signings.
Atkinson is definitely an upgrade on our current halves but whether that makes a significant difference for next year is a good question our wingers and front row still have big question marks for mine. The key question is, are Atkinson, Kerr and Douehi (if we sign him) going to improve the team so much from a likely bottom 4 finish to top 8 next year?

So he should be fully Wayne Kerr'ed.Kerr has had a couple of years of Wayne, he’ll come back a better footballer than when he left.
ill never forget hooks press conferencesAbsolutely. We did it under Griffin when he played money ball with McGuire, Norman, McCullough etc, trying to bring through Amone, Sullivan & Sloan and it didn't work out.
2/3 years Kerr and AD at say $850k pa between them makes sense vs JDB at $500k pa plus for 2026 probably onlyKerr has had a couple of years of Wayne, he’ll come back a better footballer than when he left.
I doubt it as Souths have just signed Ed Kosi from the Warriors. Is Kerr an upgrade of Lawrie & RFM? YES.
Is Kerr an upgrade on Klemmer? Because I don’t think you can have both in the same 17..
Surely this means Lawrie is done?
only having 3 spots in our 30 for 2026 is a risk and need to hit our next few signings..
I did read Rava is a 2026 loss (does this mean he’s on loan again at Souths)??? Anyone have info on this?
Hopefully a few more signings like a decent prop and winger come along too.The key question is, are Atkinson, Kerr and Douehi (if we sign him) going to improve the team so much from a likely bottom 4 finish to top 8 next year?

Long as we keep getting rid of playersHopefully a few more signings like a decent prop and winger come along too.
