If you jump ship, you get to play for Queensland, but you don't get to be waterboy!

Ah-ha, no one will jump ship now...

 c'mon, he's the waterboy, they'd get stuff all publicity.

Now that he's been banned, there's more of a story and the AFL got all the publicity they want.

Carr is petty, and this is just another strike against his name for me.

Please, when Folau took that final shot on goal for Queensland, it was all over the news and he was labelled the AFL convert.

The media coverage wouldn't be that great if he were water boy, but at least when the match report is on, it wont have him on screen with the letters A F L announced during a Rugby League match report. If he were water boy, the news would have put him on there, no doubt.

Its like Ray Warren comparing the Dragons to Collingwood during the Grand Final. "They are the Collingwood of the NRL". Its cheap and free publicity right in the face of the Rugby League audience and its just not needed.

Folau doesn't want to be water boy to help his country, he is fulfilling his contractual mandate to promote AFL as much as possible in West Sydney.

 So taking a shot for Queensland and taking the water out for Tonga are 1 in the same?

Not to mention, Carr gave AFL more publicity by attempting to ban Folau. And he's done it once again. Instead of having one line in a match report, we've had two articles on Folau being banned. Seriously, Carr fails at Media 101.

Folau was simply doing Tonga a favour. By telling him off, well it only reflects badly on Carr.

Did anyone on here even know Folau was going to be running the water in the curtain raiser before Carr spat the dummy?

Anyone?

Now we all do. Well done Carr for raising Folau's profile....again.

Do you think Rogers would have been allowed to run the water ,for the wallabies if the code had known he was going back to rl.
If a young junior union player signs for rl the next year,he is not selected for union tours or tests.

Probably not. Folau isn't running the water for Australia though. Or the team playing Australia. He's helping a team in the f**king curtain raiser. It won't even be televised.

If Rogers wanted to run the water for a developing country who was playing another developing country I'm certain the ARU wouldn't step in and have him banned.

Surely it is up to the RLIF to decide who can, or cannot, act as support staff for the Tongan team? What on earth does it have to do with the ARL?

So what happens if Folau gives a water bottle to a Tongan player on Saturday? Is Tonga disqualified from the curtain-raiser?

Again, wrong.

Well he was eligible. it no different then the Vidot or Costigan situation.

It would be no different then a person being the face of Pepsi but signing to go to coke. Pepsi wouldn't let them go to another function

Because they're both similar situations.

Here it is...plain and simple.

Folau was doing Tonga a favour, Tonga wanted to have Folau there.

Carr says screw you, you left us, so no don't go and help Tonga.

Also, pretty sure Tonga don't have Test status, unlike PNG and Samoa.

So he helps them out for 1 game then buggers off that's really going to help Tonga develop. It's down as an offical test match.

Better than him doing nothing.

And seriously, is this a Test match? F**k me the International committee are generous. Either way, it shouldn't disqualify Folau. He's a waterboy FFS, not a centre.

I'm sure they'll survive without the help of an unqualified water-carrier.

I support this decision. Should have been banned from the Origin series as well
