It highlights the repercussions you should expect to face if you agree to become a mercenary for the AFL. Folau is being publically humiliated and outcast - something that should happen to every traitor, and should have happened to Folau months earlier. It's doubtful any of this so-called free marketing will work anyway, as Folau's Tongan compadre Michael Jennings has already attested.

How many Origins has Lote played since returning?

They will never be banned from playing rep footy in league again, but they drop well down the list as they should.

Had Jarryd Hayne not been injured (not forgetting Inglis, Hodges, Jennings and Lyon) there would be no Lote in the current Kangaroos squad.

b) How exactly have they recouped anything? He’s getting paid 6 million or something ridiculous.
All this talk of them making it back in publicity stories is just a way to make it look like they have haven’t flushed 10+ million down the drain on TWO PLAYERS who’ve never touched a little red AFL ball before. Hunt was forgotten by the general public as soon as he left the Broncos, Folau will be the same.
Carr might not be the smartest guy in the ARL but at least he doesn’t waste money like that.
