That backline would have eleventybillion points put on it too

So we'd be winning games twentybillion points to eleventybillion points. Who'd complain.

It takes those world class spinters 0.15 of a second to react and within 2 seconds they are doing over 36 kph.

Asafa Powell would generate more leg drive than 3 billy slaters.

If a fullback ever comes a long with close to the athletic ability and raw power that a world class sprinter has then he would be toying with chasers and averaging 50 metres per kick return unless they committed a 7 or 8 man kick chase everytime.

To be honest, American football has always possessed athletes that could also be world class sprinters if they wanted. So it's possible the NRL might have a couple one day. Hayne is as close as we have, he has a sprinters build and if he went down that path he probably could have made world meets.

Mike Cleary (south Sydney winger and sports minister in the Wran government) was a world class sprinter who medalled in the commonwealth games i think.

edit - from wikipedia
After leaving rugby union and during his first year of rugby league with the South Sydney Rabbitohs he maintained his amateur status to enable his selection for the Commonwealth Games later that year. He represented Australia in Athletics at the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth, collecting the Bronze Medal for the 100 yard sprint.
