What is the biggest loss ever suffered in the home and away rounds by a team that then went on to become Premier?

42-0, Canterbury lost to Newcastle in 1995
then
40-0, Newcastle lost to Parramatta in 2001
and
46-10, Balmain lost to Souths in 1947

Of course, the not so mighty Raiders of '82. I personally witnessed many of those points piling up.

And your original question :D
I make it the 1935 Canterbury side, R2 to R6.
41 for, 281 against, -240 for and against.

 it IS a gif image!!!! right click on it and bring up the properties! it is only 63 kb! whats the problem? ive seen avatars that are bigger than this.
Its a gif image now and it was 89Kb. In any case, 63Kb is still too big.

If you seen avatars bigger than this then you've also seen them disappear soon after. So on that point you're exagerating things. There is no way that an excessively wide avatar would be allowed to stay.

Once again, read what I said. The whole forum is about have a shake-up because the high file transfer rate is mucking things up.
I thought I'd give you heads up but obviously this is something you think has to be fought over.

You're not the only one. Its been common practice for some time to ask people to reduce their sig files. In almsost every case, the person has understood and helped out without complaint.

And I will continue to let people know if they have a sig file or avatar which too big or in anyway unacceptable. For example, Madunit has an 87Kb sig file image. I didnt get to that because you wanted to fight about your sig file first.

As part of the shake-up, sig files guidelines will be maximum 400 x 100 pixels and 30Kbs. Members will be limited to 2 images per sig file. There will be exceptions with some sig files being banners received as prizes in one the competitions.

In all cases, the decision as to which sig files are acceptable is entirely at the discretion of the Administrators. This is already part of the Members Guidelines...

So now you know everything. And as you can see, you're not being singled out.

It's unfortunate that yet another thread has been disrupted by your insistence on bickering over minor issues. I'm settling this by deleting your sig file now.

If you wish to contnue this discussion, take it to the website issues forum.

I changed that question cos I didn't think I worded it correctly.

You're spot on though. ;-)

Okay seeing as how there's no question here, I'll put one up.

Name the players who are above Andrew Johns on the Top Pointscorers list in the history of the game. Put them in order.

For 0.259874 bonus points, tell me how many points Johns has.

Jason Taylor, 47-942-35, 2107
Darryl Halligan, 80-855-4, 2034
Mick Cronin, 74-865-2, 1971
Graham Eadie, 71-847-3, 1917
Eric Simms, 23-803-86, 1841
Andrews Johns, 60-768-20, 1828

280 to go, probably not next season - early 2005
Girds the next best active player with 1590, but then down to Schif with 1159.

I like these in common ones, so here's another.
What do these players have in common.

Gerry de la Cruz
Greg Cook
Mike Eden
Brett Le Man
Brian Quinton

They all played in their teams first ever premiership match.
de la Cruz with Canberra in 1982, Cook with Illawarra in 1982, Eden with the Gold Coast in 1988, Le Man with Brisbane in 1988 and Quinton with Newcastle in 1988.

was that it?

Cool ;-)

okay question time

In the Grand Final of 1952 between Souths and Wests there was a certain try by a Souths player which was controversially called back by the referee. The try would have turned the match, but in the end Wests won.

Who was the Souths player who scored the disallowed try?
For 985 points what was the scoreline?
and for a bonus point, who was the referee?
