GALLOWAY AND GIBBS RE-SIGN WITH WESTS TIGERS
Wests Tigers is pleased to announce the re-signing of two of the games brightest young props in Keith Galloway and Bryce Gibbs.
In a show of strength for the club, both players were already contracted to Wests Tigers to the end of the 2009 season but have now agreed to new deals.
Galloway agreed to a new two-year deal that keeps him at the club until the end of 2011.
Gibbs agreed to a new three-year contract that keeps him at Wests Tigers until the end of 2012.
Galloway said he was very pleased to have secured his immediate future.
It is a big relief. I definitely wanted to stay here and I am grateful the club offered me a new contract, Galloway said.
I feel there are exciting times ahead for Wests Tigers.
For Gibbs, a Western Suburbs Magpies junior, the new contract means the chance for him to become a team leader.
I am looking forward to the challenge of leading the Wests Tigers pack in coming years. The club has been very good to me, Gibbs said.
Wests Tigers Recruitment Manager Warren McDonnell said the re-signing of Galloway and Gibbs follows on from the re-signing last week of second-rower Chris Heighington.
Having Chris Heighington and Great Britain forward Gareth Ellis next season, together with Galloway and Gibbs, will form a great cornerstone for the Wests Tigers forward pack over the next three years.
We also have plenty of good young juniors coming through and they will be able to learn plenty from these experienced players.
