Another good move by the club, time to tone it down MOTH.
GALLOWAY AND GIBBS RE-SIGN WITH WESTS TIGERS
Wests Tigers is pleased to announce the re-signing of two of the game’s brightest young props in Keith Galloway and Bryce Gibbs.

In a show of strength for the club, both players were already contracted to Wests Tigers to the end of the 2009 season but have now agreed to new deals.

Galloway agreed to a new two-year deal that keeps him at the club until the end of 2011.

Gibbs agreed to a new three-year contract that keeps him at Wests Tigers until the end of 2012.

Galloway said he was very pleased to have secured his immediate future.

“It is a big relief. I definitely wanted to stay here and I am grateful the club offered me a new contract,’’ Galloway said.

“I feel there are exciting times ahead for Wests Tigers.’’

For Gibbs, a Western Suburbs Magpies junior, the new contract means the chance for him to become a team leader.

“I am looking forward to the challenge of leading the Wests Tigers pack in coming years. The club has been very good to me,’’ Gibbs said.

Wests Tigers Recruitment Manager Warren McDonnell said the re-signing of Galloway and Gibbs follows on from the re-signing last week of second-rower Chris Heighington.

“Having Chris Heighington and Great Britain forward Gareth Ellis next season, together with Galloway and Gibbs, will form a great cornerstone for the Wests Tigers forward pack over the next three years.

“We also have plenty of good young juniors coming through and they will be able to learn plenty from these experienced players.’’

we just need him to play for 55 minutes a game minimum, as opposed to 35-40

I always thought KG was for 4 ... maybe there was an option 1 way or the other on the 4th yr. They're both pups by prop standards ... i'm a massive Gibbs fan ... even coach shines at an info day in 02 or 03 said he picked gibbs as he best of all those juniors from both sides .. if he kept out of trouble

It doesn't look good for Head at all really. There have been no rumours or anything at all in relation to him.

I can only pray there is some negotiations going on and we will be pleasantly suprised with an announcement he has signed with us.

I honestly don't think Sheens rates him. He seems to be timid with him, Monday night being a prime example.

I rate him and always have. I'd have little hesitation in allowing him the sort of latitude Prince had.

I agree.....not enough game time or responsiblity for my liking.

I have been posting for weeks Head is not on the radar, now this is not a keyboard warrior scoop just the feeling I have had from day one. Was signed as a one year band aide and to generate some interest when the natives were getting angry late in the pre season.

Hope iam wrong

great news, we'd be up sh*t creek if we lost Galloway for next season as we'd have 2 props in the whole squad. This should ensure we have 2 props for the next few seasons, we are still a couple short.

So we have Gibbs for the next 4 and a half years? He will be a legendary Tiger if he doesn't do a Money Bill or a Wes Naiqama.

Head should be a priority re-signing now. Te'o can re-sign if he starts making more then 50m p/game.
