Foran - Where does he rate in the NRL

Im curious as to where the LU public rate Foran as a player in terms of 5/8th in this league?

For mine, ive got him ahead of Benji, who does freakish things, but Foran consistantly great, and occasionally brilliant. Ive got him ahead of Lockyer who was great, one of the best of all time but now past his time, ive got him well ahead of Soward
Carney on ability and talent is maybe better than him but its close.

Where does Foran stand in the NRL rankings of 5/8th? I struggle to think of a better on week to week in the NRL

When does the NZ move Marshall to half and let the better player play his natural position. What a player

I think this season he is definitely the standout. Not sure I'd say he's better than Benji though, but he is definitely more consistent.

I think the fact he and Cherry Evans work extremely well together helps a lot.

at the moment reminds me of carney last year , looks good against weak defence, not so good against strong defence

I'd say he's a kid having his breakout season. Let's see how he handles next year and the one beyond. Certainly got a lot a promise and I love the way he plays tough.

Edit: The reason i put Foran 7th is because I want to see him win a big game first... other than that i can see him challenging the top players in the future.

definitely more durable than Benji.

I would rather my club sign him than Benji although I would not be surprised if he became a lock in later years.

he has failed at that spot before, and this year he has one game against a team which isnt in form at the moment

He does some very good things. Didn't do a lot against the Dragons though, but then nor did his teammates.

Its just my opinion... Hayne in my opinion took him team single handedly to a grandfinal; he has so much raw ability and under kearney i think he can make the transition to 5/8th; and be a damn good one at that.

FTR: I dont like Hayne but I'm not a hater i can admit when someone is a gun player.

I reckon he will be one of the greats, he is only 20 years old. Hopefully we can sign him for a long time.

Would probably make my Top 5 Five Eighths.

I rate him and would say that Manly's halves combination is the second best in the NRL this year and with both being young guys, that's great for the Eagles.

For me consistently great means more then half a season, lets talk at the end of next year.

Great talent and top player though.

Just goes to show though that the more things change the more they stay the same. Still no better position to dominate the game from then 5/8. I get hard watching 6's who want the ball and want to dominate.

IMO Foran is quickly becoming the next superstar of the game. If I had a choice of any five eighth in the game to bring to Souths I'd choose him ahead of Benji.

There are better 5/8's than him in all attacking areas but not defence and effort. Foran is tough and intense every week and that is his asset. He doesn't go missing the way Carney and Benji have this season. He's standing out a bit this year because he is one of the few 5/8's playing decent nearly every week.

Foran is a gem of a player, I personally would have him up there with the best players in the comp. Manly have produced some good players over the last few years and that I respect.
