Haven't seen any lately but my favs would be;

Battle Royale
Zatoichi (the latest version with Beat Takeshi)
Swimming Pool
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Hero
Run lola run
Ringu
Seven Samarai
Yoshimbo
The tit and the moon (not really that good, but bloody funny)

Love that film. The bloody Yanks did all they could to ruin it!

Battle Royale must rate a mention, surely. An all time great.

I was just going to mention that and issue a warning to stay away from BR2. Started out OK then just got worse and worse. Total waste of time.

Not a shadow on the original.

Battle Royale...That's the one with Beat Takeshi as a teacher in charge of a group of students who go to camp or something wearing weird collars, correct?

Man, that movie was good. Weird, but good.

yep thats it. Only its not so much a camp as it is a forced game of murder your best mates. Its one of my favourite movies of all time. And Booyah is right, the sequel sucks balls.

That's it!

I just didn't want to give too much away in case people hadn't seen it lol.

I'm going to have to go out and check ones like Old Boy out - people have been recommending them to me for ages.

I have BR I and BR II, but haven't watched the second yet. Maybe I'll steer clear of it.

So glad the US haven't tried to take it on yet

What's up with the Yanks doing that, anyway? lol

I was told they actually ripped off "Fawlty Towers" at some stage, and made the equivalent of Manuel from Canada!

Yeah, that's hilarious - "He's from Ottawa."
