Most players will eventually go backwards at Sths as we have an extremely stodgy approach to our general game. Keary is a perfect example of a player who should escape Sths post haste!! There could be a number of players wanting out,including GI!!!
I haven't been happy with Madge's approach for a long time now. It worked for a while but it can never work long term.

He seems to be bereft of ideas.

I think players,especially backs,will avoid us like the plague. If you're a big & boring yard gaining forward with no brain you'll love Sths & Madge!!

Coaches,to be fair to Madge,are clones, & don't seem to have a clue.Most seem to play to the same old pathetic plan.

I would like to see plenty of changes in RL.

The little dribble kick to get a repeat set of 6[for eg] is pathetic----it should only attract 2 tackles at best.

The "hail Mary" lucky dip bomb or the piteous cross-kick caught in goal should restart at the 40m line,not the 20m,as a punishment for a lack-lustre approach. Maybe then we'll see some real creative attacking play. The game today can be criticised in so many ways.It's an abomination.

I watch Sths games--out of loyalty these days, as the game is an absolute joke.

I will watch a very few other games but I'm very,very selective as to which teams I watch!!

Because when we started losing form it was all tyrells, mcinnes and Clarks fault. They had to go. Well clark was in reserve grade, tyrell was off for after 12 minutes and mcinnes didn't get on until the second half, without those 3 we still played like pansies. Turner had the week off and it didn't help much. All the usual punching bags/dud players have been demoted ir dropped at some point yet it doesn't change a thing does it? We've payed a fortune for 3 burgess brothers so we have to get used to no frills cheap toilers to make up the rest of the pack for a few years more

I think a lot of you guys are overreacting. Yes it was a game you should have won and won it easily given the players we were missing and then teddy not playing in the second half at all, but the effort in the second half was much better.
Some of your blokes have done quite well...Brown, GI, Nielsen and Goodwin for me played quite well.
Walker needs to play instead of Keary.
AR plays like he is afraid of getting hurt again, but maybe just needs a few more games under his belt.
All the Burgesess, with the exception of Sam to some extent, are just crap this year.
Tyrell shouldn't be playing in the NSW cup, let alone first grade.
Cook is good and he should be playing 80 minutes week in, week out.
Your backline is not too bad. Not sure whether AJ should replace Gray or Nielsen when he is back from his injury. IMO, Auva should make way, then move Gray and AJ onto the wings and Goodwin and Nielsen the 2 centers. That i think would be a solid backline IMO.

You guys are just having one of those seasons and as a Tiger supporter, I'd know a bit about that.
Stick with the team, they will get there and if they don't re-assess at the end of the season and start again next year.

I think when the coach comes out and publicly rips into the team and questions the hunger and attitude of the players, it is fair to say that there could be changes for our next game. There is no way that you can say the things he did and then not do anything about it because people will then start questioning the accountability of the club.

You need to go back and watch your 70s and 80s stuff because football is not played this way any more. In fact, all the teams pretty much play the same way but with subtle difference. If you like ad-lib footy, I'd say Penrith is the team for you because that is why they are doing at the moment! As for players going backwards, I think you can only really have a case for Keary. In saying that, Keary was never as good as everyone made him out to be. He showed promise in 2014 but has not really put anything substantial together since. His biggest problem is that he has no vision; he runs around like a headless chook and executes the first play that comes instinctive to him. Problem is that it is often the wrong play!

Therefore one needs to watch only their side play & avoid the drudgery of other games, as they are just clones of your one.

Well I don't blame Madge for being sick of them.

The players need to pull their fingers out of their arse.

I was at the game last night and it seemed Souths players didn't give a shit about the members that turned up. We always make the effort to rush home from work and get out there. It's just ridiculous. There were heartless.

Changing the coach won't fix anything.

It will give the players their own way and they'll do whatever they please. Cleary is not a good coach like Madge is.

We will turn into a basket case once again.


Also Clark had to be dropped. Clark hasn't been able to hold the ball. I would have dropped him too.


Some of the duds in the team aren't even trying. They are a disgrace to the Jersey.

I am disgusted.


As I've said previously player power is too strong these days and it's wrong. In our jobs we can't help sack the boss by not performing on purpose. The sabotage currently from players in our team just is not on.



To all the Souths members/supporters that think having Cleary as coach will fix things, I can tell you it won't. We will go backwards further.
