This answer depends on the definition of a Sydney team!!

Andrew FARRAR fits the bill if you don't count the Illawarra Steelers as being a Sydney team!!

Ross CONLON comes close but he played for 3 Sydney teams[all Sydney based];unlike Farrar's Illawarra!!

If it's not Farrar it must be pre SOO!!

He played in Paris then came home to play with the Adelaide Rams--he then went on to play out his career in England repping at 5 different clubs!

Deon BIRD--played in Paris--to Adelaide Rams--played out the rest of his career with 5 English clubs. I'm kicking myself now because I should have solved this pretty easily.
The French connection was the vital clue on which I didn't place enough importance!
