Furious Parramatta will lodge a formal complaint with the NRL over the rough-house tactics Cronulla used on gun halfback Mitchell Moses.
And The Daily Telegraph can reveal Parramatta has previously protested to the NRL about the methods applied by opponents on Moses, who weighs 85kg.

The development comes as Moses’ uncle Ben Elias lashed out at Cronulla’s unpalatable tactics, claiming the Eels star player was “targeted” with “atrocities”.

Eels general manager of football Mark O’Neill will contact the NRL’s head of football Graham Annesley as early as Monday seeking improved protection for the gun playmaker.

One from wilton which he's suspended for. The ramien one was absolutely nothing.

Atrocities though.
Yep over the top by Benny, unsurprisngly.
Wilton rightfully got suspended, although no sin bin was rather puzzling for a dangerous tackle.
Ramien, more the straw that broke the camels back , any hint of a late shot after scoring is going to be a sore point after what happened previously in the game. Not to mention what happened to Sean then week before.

What happened before the ramien one, not being smart - haven't rewatched the game and can't recall anything much re foul play.

Lol, yet we barely said boo when one of our players ended up with a punctured lung.

Strange hill to die on.
Yeah bizarre as i said last night we aren't a club that really complains to the nrl though we just normally cop whatever decision the chin and never flex any muscle.

Unless there were a few things that we dont know about.

Or we are playing Melbourne this week who push the boundaries with everything on field and the club wants to fire a shot in the media putting something in the refs minds.

Penrith did something similar last year in the semis and bennett blew up post match about it being in the media.

This was only made public because Backdoor made it public.
It even says we’ve complained previously about it.
Is it that much of a stretch to think maybe we’ve complained about other things to the NRL and just not told you?

Good stuff, we should whinge our arses off and make sure it's "leaked" so the NRL have to publicly respond to it.

It's what all the top clubs do, let's get us some special treatment for a change.

Coz the consequences do not or should not determine the penalty. I have no great issue with the tackle on Russell. It was at worst negligent. Russell went to ground more than a metre out from the try line and was hit by a bloke running flat out across the field trying to stop him scoring (and his shoulder and leg made simultaneous contact). What was he supposed to do? Spear him with his head? Jump over the top of him and let him score?

On the other hand, the MM stuff seemed to be result of an intentional strategy. Quite a world of difference.
