That's the tricky bit. Hayne has shown some improvement this year compared to last year, but has also f**ked up a bit. Whereas Inu hasn't shown anything in terms of improvement for a long time...

I think I'll go with my joke/theory Hayne blew up about being the one moved to wing when Eric went off, and so DA gave him the riot act and a black and white jersey for the week.

mmmm!!! you might be thinking about it too much..keep the conspiracy theories away from this and think about who's performing the more poorer and there's your answer.

that was the year before, in 2007, which is kinda part of the problem. He hasn't come close to his 2007 form since that last game of 2007, the Prelim Final against the Storm when he was on fire.

I actually don't entirely disagree with you - Inu has not been getting enough ball in decent enough positions to be expected to work miracles off a standing start, but I wouldn't argue with many players in the side getting dropped currently. Except for Fui Fui, Hindmarsh and probably Kris Keating.

I said it in another post, but DA was very frank about Inu's lack of involvement in an interview on the ABC after the game. He was clearly concerned that Inu wasn't going looking for the ball and was instead just waiting for it to come to him.

I hope its not him as when he does get the ball he looks the most likely despite having little room to move.

100% correct - Inu will be playing in the NSW cup this week and deservedly - Even Warren Ryan was suprised with D.A. remarks re Inu.

^^^ They'll both get a run by the sounds of it.

And fair enough then on Inu... at least we won't have to put up with penalties on halfway for over eager kick offs a third week in a row!

I find this comment quite disconcerting actually?

Can anyone name any other centres who "have to go looking for the ball?"

I thought the ball was supposed to be provided to the centres by their halves combination.
Imagine Mick Cronin and Steve Ella having to go looking for the ball?

If we had a decent halves pairing, maybe Inu wouldn't need sat nav.

Gasnier was the only one who went looking for the ball.

BUt yeah, it's the halves pairing.

That's why INU and Hayne looks more involved when playing wing as they do the ruck out stuff and may get a pass from good ol' burty from kick returns

In the centres, they catch a cold especially when you have forwards running wide.

e.g. widders, hindy, huraki and now Lowrie.

Pressure on Krisnan Inu to hold spot

PARRAMATTA centre Krisnan Inu is under pressure to retain his first-grade position for Friday night's match against Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium. The Daily Telegraph understand Eels coach Daniel Anderson is contemplating dropping Inu, the former New Zealand Test centre.
Inu's form has been patchy this season and Anderson remains frustrated at his lack of enthusiasm.
Inu had another modest game in Parramatta's 48-18 loss to the Bulldogs last Sunday afternoon at Homebush.
After a brilliant 2007 season, Inu re-signed with the Eels but has failed to recapture the magic he showed in his early days.
If he is dumped, Anderson may consider shifting Ben Smith back to centre.
Smith has been playing in the second-row, although he returned to centre during the Bulldogs game after winger Eric Grothe left the field during the first half with a back injury.
Anderson will name his team this afternoon.
Parramatta must somehow beat Brisbane on Friday night to keep alive their fading semi-final chances.

when inu is thrown the ball in most occasions he has a crowded defensive line in front of him with very little options and very poor service.i don't see what more the bloke can do, and besides when he was at his best in 07 he was getting outstanding service by t.smith either by a pin point kick or pass putting him through a gap.I'll get slated for this post cos there's a fair few of you against the bloke, yet i wanted to say my peace and just say that there's a fair few in front of him which deserve to be dropped

our inside men throw the passes BEHIND the outside guys - especially Feleti - the amount of times I saw a pass receiver have to stop his run to grab the ball thrown behind him on the weekend was unbelievable ..... few centres are gonna do sh*t when they have to stop and reach back to grab the ball nearly every time ..... I don't know if they are over running it or the passes are just rubbish???

Look at Jennings, he went great on Friday night in attack. And Penriff dont have halves either. He set up a try after picking up a "finch" pass, and scored a try from a Petero offload, just next to the posts, he was in there sniffing around.
Inu was hopeless on the weekend, got the ball 15 times, found Reddy once.

Tahu would go and look for the ball.

And if couldn't get his hands on the ball he would go find some bloke on the other side who did have the ball and then belt the tripe out of em.

TBH honest I think it comes down to management and it won't surpise me throughout the year to see superstars on big bucks have pressure applied to them.

If I was boss of the team and I was looking for long term improvement I would be looking at who takes up the most cap space and what they will deliver me.

Finch was first (he delivered the least)

Cayless would be secound (takes up the most cap space)

Then Hayne and Inu would be next (lots of cap space there)

Then Hindy (lots of cap space there but he is a very consistent performer)

So as long as everyone on this list prvided me with the performance aligned to their pay cheque I would be happy. But as soon as this equation became unbalanced I would be in their face.

So based on last week I would be weighing up Inu and Hayne. They are playing like wingers on big bucks and I could get cheaper wingers that probably would deliver similar performance.

Hindy and Cayless would be on notice to perform.

I would show any of these people the door unless they were consistently delivering. At the moment Hindy is the only one that does.
