Just got back from All Stars game.

We will miss him from depth point of view but Naden is not an NRL quality centre

Watched a little of the Hull KR v Wigan Warriors game with a few ex panthers involved. Lachlan Coote still running around, seems like he been playing forever but still only 32. Debuted for us in 2008.

Great player Coote. Saw him light it up at Western Weekender years ago. Probably SG ball. He did pretty much everything including goal kicking that night. wearing golden boots from memory. He stood out.

I think Naden over-reads the game when the whips are cracking so to speak.

Time will tell whether this continues.
Plenty of average defenders get by just fine defending on the wing because 90% of the defensive decisions are made for your you by the centre and you just back up what the centre does as the right move. All these winger blowing basic captain's challenges aren't the smartest guys in Rugby League but most of them defend just fine.

His defence reads at centre are irreverent to his games on the wing where he's been consistent as far as I'm concerned.

Naden was pretty good on the wing especially once he stopped trying the odd miracle play and poor lapses in concentration.

At centre he could turn even numbers on the short side into an overlap for the opposition when defending,

Capewell talking up the Broncos and how they are the fittest team he has been a part of.

Nothing to do with what Capewell is saying, but I do think the Broncos will be big improvers this season.

Panthers of the last few seasons have been the benchmark for fitness, so Kurt would have a yard stick. It will be interesting to see how it translates in a few weeks.

How many times has Hook being kissed on the penis by contract extensions..........

He must have photos tucked away from lightning to stike twice with his last two clubs.

Bizzare. No reason for it.

I wish him well…

His well documented disagreements with Gus and his exit from our club was a sad chapter in our history but it is what it is I guess. Everyone has moved on, everyone has new jobs and I guess most were proved wrong or surprised by the second coming of Ivan. Not least me, but glad to have been proven wrong.

Last time Hook's contract was extended he was gone in less than 12 months.

Good luck to him, the Dragons think he is the right man for the job.
