I'm not sure Hopgood will make it. Plenty of penalties he gives away

I like Hopgood but he isn't a good fit (yet) for Cleary ball. Cleary ball is focused on limiting errors. It calls for tight defence, discipline (avoiding penalties) and low risk play (secure hands and not much offloading).

Hopgood is a little loose in all those departments in particular his hands let him down - he is error prone.

Once he irons those things out he would be a weapon on any team but he is probably a few years from that.

I'd have liked to have kept him alongside Sorenson as a bench forward but alas it wasn't to be. I think if given the opportunity he'd have made a good edge forward but obviously Ivan didn;t see it that way.

I wish him all the best except when he plays against us.

Certainly won’t be the case with Hopgood, he is too driven, he will do well at Parra

I agree he will do well at Parramatta. Wish we could have kept him. But where to play him. Yeo is still top of his game, there is chat he will be made basically a panther for life (which is wonderful)

The kid deserves a chance. Penrith weren't able to offer a place in the starting line up. Unfair to have him sitting in the wings waiting for origin.

I do hope for Arthur's treats him well. He deserves it.

Disagree with you. Also Parramatta doesn't matter to me.

I think Brad Arthur will temper J’Maines natural enthusiasm which at times led to the odd mistake with us in NSW Cup. Most of the time we were winning comfortably and his mistakes were just trying too hard or trying for too much. I don’t see it as a major flaw in his game, he will get it sorted and be a great signing for the Eels.

Kiks with 90m, 19 tackles with 5 missed.

Body language and fatigue of a guy with 300m and 50 tackles.

Going to be hard going without To'o and Edwards doing all his dirty work.
