Former Panthers in the NRL

That is the issue with such a young side. The guys behind know to play regular FG they need to leave.

Blake and RCG didn’t show to be that big of loss so far but too soon to tell either way

2 coaches, an assistant coach and someone else tried very hard to get the best out of RCG in his last 2 years here. They didn't have much success. He reached his peak here and regressed.
He still hasn't gotten over his 2 broken jaws.
If Brad Arthur gets the best out of him, then he is a magician.

Blake' very talented but injury prone and still very immature.
Sometimes the best thing is for players to leave and get a fresh start elsewhere, rather than stay and remain stale.
If they fire elsewhere so be it. Only so many chances you can give someone.

I’m really disappointed in Bryce’s attitude. The guy had no problem forcing his last missus to get an abortion but he gets his back up when asked to take a flu jab during a pandemic, f**k him and his dumb wife, for her to mention Anne Frank is absolutely disgusting.

Newspaper talk that she was forced, but the truth is you can neither force a woman to have an abortion nor force her not to have one. She wasn't his missus either, just a stray.

Really shows how selfish footballers can be

Bryce has really fallen he had good periods with us but his career really has been in free fall for some years now. The Titans won’t extend his contract and I’m not sure anyone else would take the risk on him.

Bryce is done. Easily the worst fall from grace I've seen from a footballer.

Your right Sad to say but I don’t think he had the heart or the mongrel required to be a top quality back rower. Just not hard enough and doesn’t put his body on the line.

Frog is right, saying he forced her was wrong of me. She claims he applied a lot of pressure on her to get rid of it and then got that rich former player to bribe her
He hardly came out of it smelling like roses that's for sure. My feeling was always that he should have got a legal eagle to handle it (who could have had her produce evidence of pregnancy and maybe even his paternity), and had a non-disclosure clause put in. He doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

Might get a gig in England. After all the likes of Jarrod Sammut and Luke Walsh were able to carve out decent careers in jolly old blighty.

There’s no need to feel sorry for the likes of Bryce, professional RL player who has already earnt more in his short career than many will earn on here in there working lifetime. Even if he doesn’t get picked up by another NRL club on the same money he is on now I’m sure he could grind out a couple os seasons in the cold of the English league and continue to earn a good living. Just a waste of talent he could have achieved so much more if mentally stronger.

Maybe Bellyache is looking for the ultimate challenge of his coaching skills, at about a third of what he's on now.

If Bellamy did take on Bryce, I’d be concerned, he would get the best out of him, and just give Melbourne another weapon in that squad.

to be fair to Bryce, that titans team is pretty horrendous and unlucky with injuries to key players, just a lot of talent with potential up there who just haven’t delivered (Bryce, Taylor, peach etc).

Bryce on minimum / cheaper contract isn’t necessarily a bad thing, if you can get his head right /attitude off the field, he is an absolute weapon off the bench. Just needs to be around a leadership group who don’t tolerate mediocrity and shortcuts.

You have to wonder what part (if any) we played in his career and development crashing so hard.

The 2016 and 2017 seasons couldnt have helped his development as a second rower. Although his form was still largely more good than bad no matter where we put him in those seasons. The areas he needed to develop to be a good second rower were not areas of focus for a half. Ie. Tough carries, strong defence etc. Which is undoubtedly the area letting him down now... along with trying too hard when he has the ball to make something magic happen. A mentality that really became dominant when he was asked to play half. He always took risks. But the risks went to another level when he was at 6. He seemed to think he HAD to create something with every touch.

Although even at that point. His career wasnt that bad for us. He had good moments still. The day he signed with Titans though his career has just been in a freefall.

The same thing basically happened to Leilani Latu and Tyrone Peachey. Looking beyond non Panthers it hasn't been all that good for Ash Taylor, Shannon Boyd etc. either. Quiet a few players have really struggled greatly at times through the same period.

If Carty returned on minimum wage I would be hopeful we could get decent footy out of him. I think our club is his home and that alone would help him a bit.

A better squad allowed him to hide his flaws better but I didn’t see too much change. Just given what happened and the big money made it worse

Still think he could make a career as a 13. On the edge he seems way too isolated defensively especially if he’s standing next to Taylor, Roberts etc.
