Former Panthers in the NRL

Wado's retirement speech. He mentions how his heart was broken by having to leave you guys.
We got lucky by having him. Nice words on here btw, well done.

A very good reason to immensely dislike Elliot. Wade was considered part of the Penrith future and Elliot gave him the push to leave the club. It hurt to see him win a premiership with the Sharks.

Even though it was obvious that long term he wouldn't be a #7 or #6 - at the time he was still better than frikken Walsh or Burns.

Darkest days as a Panthers supporter was seeing Wado leave along with Gordon and eventually Lewis, Jenko & Coote.

Was glad the most of those young guys got to have their own premierships. They were all talented and deserved to get one - a travesty that it wasn't together with us.

Aaaahhhhh hindsight is a great thing tho..
Had they all stayed, do you think we still are on track for this threepeat?
Wado is surely not upto our defensive standard, (god i love him tho)
Lewis would have been retired but stopped most of our back rowers or 5/8ths coming thru, same as jennings, coote and gordon..
Being a development club, this is the journey, the school they are in right now isn't necessarily the job they retire from, im glad that im a panthers fan, it forces me to be a rugby league fan, coz i can watch other teams like cronulla with wado, sione and lewis
And Warriors with Egan, DWZ, tigers with Api, staines and blore, dolphins with SoS, katoa, and jennings etc, the dogs aka riff V2.0
Seeing them do well elsewhere (if they can) knowing they've kept our team fresh and relevant, but not disolved away from us dumping them (like wado got)

Didn’t get a debut for us and is a beast from five metres out but anywhere else on the field the Eels Sivo is an awful player. Ironically his stats tonight will not include his misreads in defence where he comes out the line and gets no one. His defensive devisions tonight we’re very costly, Eels need to move on from Sivo.

He had some amazing moments off the kicking tee at the death but some very ordinary moments in general play.

He's not working with much
Neither is Daine Laurie but he's braining it atm.

Tbf I was in and out of the game and Api was playing out of position. I saw two very ordinary defensive efforts and the obstruction penalty was farcical and almost cost them the game. He's a player with real magic in him but as much as the narrative is that he's putting an awful team on his back to me he looks like a guy who's waist deep in the mire with them.

His defence had been awful since coming back from the jaw.

But he is an older hooker and is it is going to take longer to get back into game shape after an extended break.

I missed most of this game but he's been playing hooker and halfback for some of the games I've watched. He'll pass from hooker then run around a forward to collect the ball at 7*.

Bulldogs sniff the wind

Bulldogs staff have been made aware of a text message that has been doing the rounds in recent days.
It claimed up to eight players were unhappy at the club under the coaching of Cameron Ciraldo. One of the grievances allegedly raised by some current players, and potential recruits, was a frustration over Ciraldo’s workload demands.
The message claimed that Ciraldo’s expectation for players to be around training from 8am to 5.30pm was unrealistic and a deterrent for some players to join or remain at the club.
After the Dogs slumped to another heavy defeat on Sunday, to Manly, it would be understandable if Ciraldo wanted to move on players afraid of hard work and bring in recruits from clubs who know what winning looks like.
