Well I guess non-coastline national borders are a strange concept to us.

Its funny these jibes about "free settlers" etc. I'm about 3/4 Irish, 1/8 French via Mauritius, 1/8 Pommy (Manchester) in descent (as if it matters, I'm an Aussie).

So far the Englishman is the only one proven to be a convict...... convicted in Salford Court. :D

Though I'm fairly sure at least one of my Irish forebears has a little cloud over him. Just no proof.... yet.

Wow, the name change issue still going around...

For my 2cents, I reckon now it should just be:
"Super League" - for all discussion on Super League and the Challenge Cup in the UK and Europe."

Australia has moved on from it's Super League (14 years ago?), and this label would then match what people in England/Europe seem to refer to Super League as. It would also do away with the English/European/E debate, and the description clearly explains the difference between this sub-forum and the International sub-forum.

Other than that, I'd back whatever the mods Evil Homer and Te Kaha suggest.

Back On Topic, ^ that might work.

But being as you're a typical dumb Aussie that will suit. Perhaps you could do a wee bit of learning in later life perhaps?
Here, I will help you: http://geography.about.com/od/politicalgeography/a/englandnot.htm

PS being a person born and bred in the UNITED KINGDOM I have every right to state what I state. Blessings. x

Seems to me you could stand to learn the difference between a sovereign state and a country. England, of course, being one of the countries that make up the sovereign state of the United Kingdom.

Pretty funny that it matters so much to you...say, incidentally, which cricket side won the Ashes? Were they called "The United Kingdom"?
