This points table player of the match should finish at the completion of the regular season and not continue into the play-offs, otherwise it will disadvantage players from the lower clubs. Maybe have another award for the player of the final series.

I don't think there were any plans to continue it past the completion of the normal rounds. I certainly wasn't going to and I think willow will confirm this.

Just making sure. Better to be safe than sorry.

great to see theirry in second there, and so deserving of that position.

I'm suprised to see i'm the second ranked panther, i believe there are many in my team that have much more talent than I do, so that is surpised but i guess thats because me and theirry have played every game and others havn't had the opportunity, but i guess we have a great core group of posters, with 7 of the team on the leaderboard, so thats fantastic for penrith, great stepping stone going into the finals and for next season.

It's actually surprising how this is panning out. Some players with quite a high average score aren't even in the running. Means that the oppertunity to place is wide open.

Just be thankful Johns isn't playing. He'd be on a guarenteed 15 points. ;-) :D

Well Mick I think anyone else would say that you are more than deserving of your position. You certainly aren't short of talent, and consistency and commitment surely count for something.

And I haven't played every game either, only 4 (and one was a copy paste from rleague f7s that didn't get me any points.) 8)

I'm feeling the pressure to pull out a big one this round. Willow, DVD and Gorilla are pretty relentless, they were the top 3 in the Dogs-Bags game (but who gets 2 points-Willow or DVD?)

I'm in direct competition with Willow this week (Gorilla's clearly the top dog) so I've really got to stick it to him if I want second or third spot.

TH, when people score the same, they both get the corresponding points.

Sorry these are a little late this game people.

Thats what happens when you turn up to play. ;-) (But you did make me go through and check - )

I am sending these through for a double check after this round, to eliminate any problems my abacus may have had. :D

Seems like Gorilla is unbeatable. He's informed me that a jersey will be his choice so all eyes are on 2nd and 3rd... and those free ISP memberships.

Now... I didnt make a post last round (10) so it's wide open. 8-[

Leaderboard (after Round 9)

16 Gorilla (Newtown) [6]
11 DvdHntr (Parradogs) [6]
10 Willow (Newtown) [6]
9 Thierry Henry (Panthers) [4]
8 Backpacker (Easts) [6]
8 Beaver Online (Sharks) [5]
7 Morticia (Easts) [3]
7 Seano (South's) [5]

Looks like I'll be pipped at the post.

ooooo.....I think DVD might have 2nd just about sown up (although you never know), but I'm a chance of 3rd. How did you get these prizes? And how do the free ISP memberships work?

Not so open. BP and Morticia have a forfeit round and didn't even get to compete. I don't think Beaver Online participated this round. It may come down to numbers and scores awarded for points to determine outcome. Better get that solar powered abacus warmed up. No sun today - oh well, might have to wait until next week. :p

Yeah, I know - lame.

BigBlue gave them to us in exchange for the banner at the top of the forum.
Its in a CD and only has to be installed into your PC and works with your dial-up modem.
The 12 months access (+37 days bonus) is worth $270 and the 3 months access (+10 days bonus) is worth $75.

I gave the first prize winner a choice of BigBlue or the jersey and Gorilla went for the jersey.

And this is available whether you live outside Australia?

lol... i guess it would be available, but I wouldn't want to be the one paying the international phone bill

Yeah, I was wondering about that. There might be an auction coming if one of our International friends win it...

Yes guernsey for me – whilst I could do with the $ saved for an ISP, I will never get around to springing for a guernsey and what a memorable ‘trophy’ of this award.

It’s got a BIG RED V on it and the whatever number is assigned to the open side prop these days.
Note to Willow – we need to talk sizes…..something suitable for an ample silverback frame (you’ve seen me) :D

Congratulations to all involved, especially those who came a little bit close. I guess the week-in, week-out posting paid off. 8)

I’m humbled that my meagre scribblings scored so high – its been a source of constant amazement. There is always many good and interesting posts each fortnight.

However, I expect the refs to continue their excellent and accurate summations to continue through the semi’s. I will be in it.
