Yes we did lose by more than 6 but that forward-pass try sure did hurt.

It is easy to dismiss an event like that but no-one can predict how the game pans out after that. Maybe we rattle up 5 straight tries in 10 mins after that gets called up

ON a better note, first loss without getting pumped or conceding 30+! :)

We would have won the game if we had Frawley on the wing for Howell. Again he cost us 12 points in defense and offered nothing in attack

Terrible pass, even terribler refereeing -- almost as bad as the terribliness of my grammar.

Raiders fans: it was daylight robbery. I had a spray at the referee for that one too. You have every reason to think it was more than a little ordinary. Some have said it went 3 metres forward... I reckon it went 5, when you consider he threw the ball halfway between two 10-metre lines and Carney caught it on the line. How the three referees missed it I don't know.

In all fairness to both teams I thought it was a pretty good tussle. The rain made things interesting, especially with it driving into the Knights' eyes in the second half. The momentum was all with your Raiders until the forward-pass try. I didn't have a problem with any of the other tries though -- except for the fact your first try was a gift (one of your blokes must have had eggs for breakfast or something because our defensive line sure did give him space all of a sudden).

Pretty close tussle -- excellent defence from the Raiders, with the Knights doing pretty well to stretch the lead to 10. The Raiders have sent a big message to a few teams this year: don't under-estimate us. They're a genuine team -- good defence can go a long way towards getting you those close wins... if only the ref has his eyes open.

Watched it on NRL Scoreboard last night and the pass was only just (5 metres) forward. Shocking decision by the ref not to pull it up.
Another thing they mentioned last night was the tackle count for both teams.
Raiders had 400 plus tackles and Newcastle had around the 280 mark. I think they said Newcastle had about 21 more attacking sets than you guys. For you guys to get so close it was an awesome effort.
