Just apply the rule correctly
And f**k that ball strip rule off , it’s another rule change that Bellamy as milked to the full.
Does this tech look at the pass from multiple angles, beep n boop - calculate and give a green or red light in 1/4 of a second? Or is it something that makes it possible for the video ref to make an "informed" call on with some extra information and data?
Trying to get my head around how this will work when it is all about how the ball leaves the hands and the position of the receiver when it does.
Exactly. It’s absolutely deliberate to keep the news cycle ticking. And the dopey NRL fall for it every time. The funny thing about rule changes and the media is the way that they push an agenda for a rule change and then criticise the shit out of it when it brought in.

I like the idea but like you guys can see a ton of issues.

Annesley on NRL 360 and related article said:Annesley said that any Hawkeye technology to be used on forward passes would only be implemented in try-scoring situations, and would need to measure what direction the ball travels at the moment it leaves a players hands.
"I asked the question as to what technology is feasibly possible to measure the ball as it comes out of the hands and the movement of the players hands," Annesley said.
"Because that's the only thing that matters in forward passes.
"I was told that similar types of technology exist and are being developed around limb tracking and tracking the movement of players around the field.
"We want to be convinced that it has a high degree of accuracy.
"But if we can determine this one way or another I think it can certainly be of great benefit to the game. Often these last passes leading up to tries are the ones that cause the most angst with fans and clubs."
Imagine how the game would open up if we did away with yhe knockon altogether. On a related theme, I liked what Annesley said last week about making the game easier to ref - example, 2 players jump for a bomb, 1 comes down with it, does it matter if it brushed his fingertip and then the hair of an opponent (this making it a knock on) - if it's a fair challenge, and one comes down with the ball, play on.
Hopefully it just uses 2 frames. 1 when the ball was last touching the player & the very next 1 when it leaves the hand. Direction can be determined from these 2 points.
Seems like a difficult thing to achieve but there are some smart buggers out there.
Thanks guys. Their website certainly makes it seem possible.

The amount of times I have seen their tech in action on telly but never really thought about it.
Looking forward to more KFC and games that run for 3hrs.

Drop a ball? Dive on it.
Drop a bomb? Play on.
Go for an intercept and knock it down? Pick it up and take off.
Just no deliberate throwing it forward.
Go and watch AFL.
I cant even spell itGo and watch AFL.
