Toulouse has been chosen to host the mid-season international between England and France on Friday, June 27.
The match, which will act as a warm-up for the World Cup for both nations, will be staged at Stade Ernest Wallon, home of Toulouse's rugby union team, with a 9pm kick-off local time.
It will be the first time the two countries have met in a full international for nine years, although an England side beat the French in the Federation Shield in 2006 and Great Britain won a Test match in Agen in 2001.
Britain also defeated France in Tony Smith's first match as coach at Headingley last June but Britain has now been split up into the home nations for the World Cup and beyond.
Smith said: "We are delighted that this match has been confirmed for Toulouse.
"The match will be a significant challenge for our team and a great opportunity to renew a great historical rivalry between the two nations.
"It will also provide us with a valuable opportunity to play together before the World Cup and become accustomed to the type of travelling we will experience in Australia next autumn."
Although the international clashes with a full programme of Super League games, Smith intends to field a full-strength side.
"It will be selected on form and with the World Cup very much in mind, rather than the more experimental side that we fielded in last season's Great Britain fixture against France," he said.
Smith is also hoping to arrange a match against Ireland, who have qualified for the World Cup, before the teams set off for Australia in October.
