You need to read. I stated in the opening post I agree with the idea. I also stated it would be more beneficial to have Fittler playing instead of seeing Anasta the proven failure at SOO given another chance.

I also highlight how when Ricky Stuart took over at the Roosters, the club, it's fans, Gould and Politis all praised him as a Super Coach.. Fittler is already considered a saviour by the CEO who claims they'll have a premiership within 2 seasons, maybe if he keeps buying 2 Australian rep players off contract each season. Any favourable result will have nothing to do with Freddy Fingers coaching then.

The only reason Rick Stupid looked like a good Coach was because he had Fittler.

People forget Ricky Stuart was an AUSTRALIAN HALFBACK and a Canberra Raiders legend. No-one can doubt this knowledge of the game. He obviously knows plenty about the game without needing to rely on other people. The media and the FlexiCap Rorters over-rated him like they over-rate Anasta and like they over-rate Gould (name a side he coached without superstars?).

Tim Sheens is regarded as a Super Coach but with an average side the past 2 seasons they have performed accordingly.

Fittler will be called a Super Coach as well until he loses a couple of rep players or they have a sook and won't try hard and when the side goes ordinary.. who is Gus going to blame then?

Mason should watch his back- Gould is an excellent knife thrower. :D

Just because your a good player does not mean you will be a good coach. I just find it more then a coincidence that since Fittler left the side Stuart has not been the same. I mean its exactly the same with Finch he looked amazing with Fittler on his outside but since then he seems lost and is no where near the level he was in 03 and 04.

Barring injury or an unlikely massive form reversal, Gidley will get the bench utility roll and deservidly so. His form in 07 justified his selection 1000 fold.

Wing is well behind both Gidley and Farrar in the line for a Blues jersey

Can't argue there- Gidley has a great 2007 and deserves first chance at the utility role.

Same could be said about Freddy Fingers..

You gotta laugh. While bringing into the fold former NSW players is a sound idea. It's obvious already the FlexiCap Rorters who tagged Sticky Ricky a Super Coach very quickly, are doing the same to Freddy already.. when will they learn?

f**k me it never stops with you wankers lol even when we're supposed to come together for the good of the state you still bitch

Come on T- read the first line again. I think it's a good idea. Freddy has a great SOO record and with Johnsy we were awesome.

I'm more amused about your club (as well as the media to be fair) making the same mistake by over-rating the coach to soon.

Exactly the question is still open about Fittler.

I think Freddy will do well (and I thought he was a great player when in form) but gee they over-rate their coaches quick smart.. Sticky was branded a Super Coach immediately and a few wins by Fittler and the fans think he the saviour.

Atleast its not as bad as Brian Smith Super Coach. How can you be a super coach if you have never won a premiership?

That's true. Seriously the coach is an over-rated position in my opinion. All the "Super Coaches" have had quite outstanding individuals that could win games without the coaches input.

I'm happy for ex-Origin greats like Freddy to come into the side and be a steadying influence on the younger guys. During Murray's two years in charge, apparently no ex Blues players were called in at all. You've got to wonder about that...

Dont be to suprized if Feleti Mateo finds a bench spot on the Blues team. He is also a utility player who can play lock, five eight, second row and even center. Unless he says no to NSW because he wants to play for Tonga at the World Cup, he is very likely to be in the Blues team. Personally Id hate to see him play for the Blues and for him to stay with Tonga.
