Thats alright ! I'll wait for the real final in 2007 :p

Thats because every team is looking forward to the RWC . It wasn't long ago when rugby league writers were writing about how league test matches have no meanings and tours are things of the past .

Yes everything is geared towards 2007 when Namibia will be gunning for some big scalps.

Meaningless yawnion tests :sleeper:

Did you enyoy that dropmonkey final this morning ? I think the All Blacks would choke again and thats the great thing about RWC .
But I think we can all agree that the All Blacks would never ever play like the way the Kangaroo's played today .
What a joke

Meaningless test matches ! I guess the 75,000 Welsh fans who sang and cheer on their team this morning thought it was meaningless .

Ah, so that's the great thing about the RUWC: the chance of the All Blacks choking.

And for someone who claims to be a NZ league fan you do seem to concentrate on the negative side of the contest i.e. the Aussie performance and the fact that the ABs grand slam will overshadow the NZ RLs greatest ever day in the local press.

Which competition did the Welsh win v Australia?

Oh well I guess because the tri-series has a final . Does that mean all the other rugby league test matches are also MEANINGLESS ?

The ANZAC test is MEANINGLESS  The French league international games against NZ, Australia and GB will all be MEANINGLESS .
Then there's
PNG
Holland
Samoa
Cook Island
USA
Malta
etc

All MEANINGLESS

You absolute DICKHEAD!

Show some respect mate. A hell of alot of soldiers died so you could have the good life is Australia which obvious is not your home land. If you don't know what the meaning behind the ANZAC test perhaps you should learn to read and buy a book about WWI, then WWII, the Korea, then Vietnam etc.

Then you may understand the meaning behind the ANZAC.

Better still, just f**k off.

Getting this thread back on track, this would have to be the 4th or 5th time I've read about the French Union doing this. They even did it in New Caledonia, despite only having 1 side, with no noe to play against. I can't remember if it was last year or the year before, but in France they even had to change the venue about 2 weeks before the Test against either AUs or NZ due to underhand work from the French Union.

PW you can't deny the French Union mob are an absolute disgrace.

On another note, that could be related, why are the Catalans playing so many games in Narbonne next season?

I believe the New Caledonian Rugby League, at the last minute, had to move the date of the inaugural Grand Final because the nations only Rugby Union club decided to book the national stadium despite having no team to play against. It's a couple of years back now, so sorry if i sound a bit hazy. I bet if anyone was willing to search this forum or the rleague one, you would find a few threads on it.

I haven't heard anything from New Caledonia in a while, so I wonder if they still play at all.

The thread I read a while back was that a couple of teams decide to play league .
Not all the rugby union clubs change codes but only a few . but i could be wrong .

Sounds about right, ali.

Obviously French rugby union supporters are the same whether they live inside France or in a colony in the south Pacific - gutless and scared.

Why else would anyone bother with these ridiculous tactics?

Te Kaha? Waffler? Why not give us the unionist perspective.

So which is it mong?

Scared or gutless? Or is it both?

And it's not restricted to the French. Although it does seem to be restricted to rugby union followers, which in itself speaks volumes for that game.
